"It would have been an excellent stay. Everything was great until I was woken up to voices from the bar at mid night. I could not get back to sleep until it had finished at 12.50am. They obviously had a lock in which spoilt my 2 day stay! Great food and great staff! "

"It was a beautiful place to stay in. Andrew is a super host. Very helpful. All the staff very friendly. We definitely recommend this place in the heart of Exmoor national park. Very quite and peaceful place. "

"A great welcome, very friendly, lovely, comfy, spacious room. Mouth watering meals and great choice of drinks. Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay."

"Excellent accommodation, quiet and everything you need whether single travel or couple. One tiny improvement would Be power of the shower but im being picky. It wouldn’t not make me stay again anytime "

"Had a lovely stay. Would have been nice to have conditioner in the shower and not shampoo and conditioner mixed but that would be the only thing I could fault, otherwise perfect!"

"I requested a ground or first floor room as I have mobility problems. They emailed me and said they had a ground floor room, but it was an upgrade from what I had booked, therefore I needed to pay another £20.00 per night. I think this was absorbitant, as it didn’t look like the hotel was fully booked. Surely they accommodate disabled people all the time, or is it just a way of getting extra money. The site I booked through didn’t give me the option to say I was disabled, so I think these...

"There were so many plus points about this stay . 1 the accommodation is gorgeous masses of space and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches . 2 the staff are wonderful there super friendly and helpful . 3 The food we had lunch and breakfast was really tasty . There were a few issues which stopped us marking it perfect . 1 it was a warm day so we didn’t try the hot tub till the evening . There was no temp on it but it wasn’t very hot. "Russel and Nicky made us feel very welcome and at home , the breakfast are amazing and worth a revisit alone ! The room was clean and tidy , the en-suite was spacious and the views from our windows over the river were great . We had bedroom 3 and the river runs directly outside and the sounds and views of the river are very relaxing . We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely quiet peaceful break with lovely walks right on your doorstep.. we will be back for sure "
