"My husband and I had a wonderful weekend here! The cabin is beautiful ... I particularly loved the jacuzzi tub and screened in porch. We loved being surrounded by woods ... so peaceful! And Ollie the dog is just too cute! The owners have gone above & beyond to make sure the cabin has everything you could possibly need. Great communication as well. Highly recommend!"

"The setting is very nice and quiet. The cabin was really new, clean and well furnished, exactly as the picture represents it. We had everything we need. I would say more then usual vacations renting. The cabin is located nearby Malone were you can find many services you might need (10-15 minutes drive). The communications were easy with the owner. I would highly recommend this place without hesitation."

"This was the perfect cozy cabin for our winter vacation. It is perfect if you love a private peaceful scene in the woods. About 30 minutes from towns. Very comfortable, and the Mary is incredibly responsive and helpful. We went to towns, ice fishing on the private lake, had ourselves a day catching so many perch, and relaxed by the fire inside. Highly recommend if you like the quietness of the woods and being outdoors as lots of trails and hikes to do as well!"

"This family of three thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin is surrounded by trees with a beautiful view of the St. Regis river which you can hear throughout the cabin. There are lovely hiking trails around the property (I believe about 4 miles of trails). The cabin is cozy and warm. The weather for our stay was a bit too chilly to enjoy the screened in porch but I imagine in warmer weather it would be a lovely place to sit. "This historical home is just so cool. My kids kept finding new treasures throughout the home. We used it as homebase for my son's wedding and extended family and friends were very comfortable. "We picked this cabin due to its location to Lake Placid and specifically The Almanzo Wilder Homestead. It was very easy to get to both places and provided a cozy place to hang out and rest our heads when not sight seeing. The front porch provided a lovely hang out spot during the unfortunate rain when we weren't able to have a fire. I would strongly suggest this cabin to anyone, especially if you have a love for being outdoors rain or shine. "
