"Wonderful stay at By The Sea. Clean hotel, friendly staff, beautiful view and location. No elevator which was fine with us on 2nd floor but perhaps 4th floor guests might find it difficult with heavy luggage. Still a 5 star hotel! "

"Basic and sparsely decorated room, but spacious. Typical tour group hotel in perfect location right at the beach. Excellent breakfast. Big let down: the pool. Though the feature photo the roof was dirty and inside heated up like a greenhouse. And don't bring anything but a compact car. The garage is very tricky to navigate without damage to the vehicle. Overall a pleasant stay, better than the initial impression. "

"The hotel occupies about a third of the monastery and has been fully renovated. It is very clean and quite spacious. Definitely a very unique experience and there is no other place like this. Great water pressure in the shower. The included breakfast is spectacular. The center of the city is just behind the hotel building - a quick walk to shops and restaurants. "

"Our experience at the Silverside hotel was very relaxing and it was just perfect after a week in Porto. There was rain from beginning to end of our 4 day adventure, but loved to come back at this hotel to relax and unwind and mostly heat-up! Thank you Loren o for all you special attention!!"
