The room I reserved had visible water damage to the bathroom door (the door was swollen and rotting on the bottom), the room smelled like mold, when I nentioned this to the desk attendant upon check-in I was told this was the only room available but I could check with the manager when they arrive in the morning.
When I called to speak to the manager in the morning I was told to call back later after the manager arrived at 7am. When i did call back I was told I could move to another room but I never heard from the staff again. I work long hours and stay in choice hotels frequently but now I am looking elsewhere while in Virginia. The staff was not helpful and the room needed mold remediation.
