"Staying in a cottage on a lake was a real treat compared to the usual highway hotels and motels. A nice deck for happy hour and there is a full kitchen and it was so nice to have a real oven to cook our take-and-bake pizza. We had trouble connecting to WiFi but the friendly host helped us out. The only complaint I have is that the shower head is mounted too high and cannot be adjusted. "

"Clean & well maintained. Lovely tall windows providing lots of natural light, Comfortable living room. A/C only in the living room but fans provided in each bedroom. Beds were very comfortable & extra pillows were provided. Hand held shower head was mounted too high for a petit person like me to reach, however a hand held is preferable to a fixed shower head. Kitchen was well stocked with condiments, spices & supplies. We enjoyed our stay."

"This place was way more than we were expecting. Thoughtful extras and the comforts of home. We celebrated two birthdays and a wedding while in Thunder Bay and the location, for us, was perfect. We would definitely book to stay here again."

"My friend and I stayed in one of the tiny cabins this past summer and it was such a cozy stay! They have a little farm on site, which was fun to go look at. It’s a 3-5 minute walk down a trail to the lake, where you can go for a swim, a kayak ride (they had some to use), or float around on floaties for the afternoon. The bathroom house was really clean and lovely to use. The communal fire pit area is beautiful as well. 10/10 stay and will be booking for next summer as well! "

"Location was a bit loud as close to a busy area. House was beautiful and the toys were a life saver"

"Upon arrival, owner had no clue we were due to arrive. Yet our credit card was charged. Neither Expedia nor Vrbo could resolve the issue after hours spent on chats. If there was a score below terrible that would be appropriate."

"This was our second stay. Again it was clean modern and perfect location. The room needs a few touchups but didn't affect the quality of our stay. There's even a washer/dryer you can use at no extra cost. A great bonus! The property manager is professional and prompt to deal with a few requests. You won't be disappointed if you say here!"

"There were 4 of us that stayed at this property for a week vacation. The communication with the host was excellent right from start to end. They answered questions quickly and were so easy and kind people to deal with. The house is so spacious with many areas to come together or to have your own quiet time. The kitchen was probably one of the best stocked kitchens that I have ever stayed at. We caught fish right off the dock as well as when we used the paddleboat. The seating area just above the...

"Everything you need and way more for any length of stay. Perfect location for the exploring we did around the area and downtown. Great communication, very clean and quiet! Really appreciated all the special touches and a taste of Finnish culture!! "
