"Great get-away. The historic loft is beautiful, clean, and modern. Surprisingly, there was NO "old" smell, and despite the outdoor dining below, it was perfectly quiet in the bedroom. And the BED-so comfortable! We loved our stay and enjoyed hiking in the state parks nearby!"

"We stayed in Galena for the Great Galena Balloon Race and this place was conviently close to the event field and to the historical attractions that we wanted to see. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us and we really enjoyed our stay. Wish we had more time so we could visit the recreation center where the pool is. We definitely recommend this place!"

"I ended up having to pay a two night stay that I didn't even use because when I canceled with the owner in July for an August date, he didn't inform me that I needed to also call and cancel with the platform until the day of my arrival, and wouldn't accept any responsibility. It's advertised for $125 per night but by the time you're finished with fees and taxes - it's really $250 per night."

"Cons: Wet sheets in the washer. Dishes in the dishwasher. Only 2 towels in the bathroom, when we booked for 4 people. WiFi not strong enough to watch a show, buffered every 3 min. Moldy air conditioning unit in the window in March: Letting in barking dog noise and cool air on a cold day. Very squeaky bed/uneven mattress. Had to check out early due to blizzard / 6-8 inches of snow coming, no option for even a partial refund. Maintenance needed on bath towel rack.Pros: parking spot, location in...
