Abigail House, 19th Century House

Abigail House has been lovingly restored and features all the modern conveniences mixed with original hardwood floors, a claw foot tub, picket fence and an enclosed porch. Prices are subject to change daily. -4 Bedrooms (one on the main floor) – 3 Queen beds, 2 twin beds-2 Bathrooms – Tub shower combinations-Hosts up to 8 guests (including infants and children)-Private parking for up to 2 vehicles, contactless check in-Central heating and air conditioning-High speed WiFi and TV with basic cable and access to streaming services Abigail House has 2 separate sitting rooms, one with flat screen television and cable TV. Also on the main floor is a separate dining room with seating for 8 and a fully equipped kitchen: -Drip-coffee maker and kettle with enough coffee and tea to get you started-Sugar packets, salt, and pepper-Microwave, toaster, flat top stove, fridge/freezer and dishwasher-Dishes, pots and pans, silverware and glasses (including wine glasses) -Non-stick spray, paper towels, dish soap, tea towels, dish cloths The laundry is in the basement supplied with: -Laundry soap, stain remover and dryer sheets Bedding, towels, hair dryers, facial and toilet tissue, shampoo, body wash and hand soap are provided.One bathroom is on the main floor with an easy access tub/shower and the other is upstairs with a clawfoot tub/shower, perfect for a little bit of relaxation!Main floor bedroom with a queen bed and 3 bedrooms upstairs with 2 queen beds and a room with 2 twin beds.Outside, relax on the generous enclosed front porch and watch the people and occasional horse and carriage pass by. Sit on the back patio while dinner cooks on the gas BBQ/grill. Lounge in the sunshine of the back garden and enjoy the flowers.Set on a corner lot, this late 19th century home is just steps from the many offerings that Canada's most picturesque town has to offer. Take a short stroll to the many world-class restaurants, Shaw Festival Theatres (only a block to the Festival Theatre), and quaint boutiques that line downtown Queen Street (two blocks away).Visit the Niagara wineries, breweries and distilleries scattered throughout the area. Location was perfect. Walked to town and many of the local attractions. Fenced yard was wonderful and had enough room to set up croquet. Nothing was amiss so we didn’t have to contact the host or the rental agency. Enjoyed the property immensely.

Amazing location, clean, a bit dated

The house has a lot of charm and is in a great location so you can walk to the historic district. It’s roomy and well setup for a large family. Given that the home is older it does smell a bit musty. However, the house is very clean. The AC also is not consistent in the house as the first floor was quite cold but the upstairs bedrooms were much warmer. Some fans might help with this. The WiFi wasn’t reliable at all, but at least the fire stick on the tv in the living room worked well. However, if you’re planning to work remotely you’ll have to bring your own connection. Overall, none of the minor things above were dealbreakers and I would stay here again as the location and cleanliness were the major factors for my family and I.

Beautiful home and fantastic location

The house was excellent, and the unexpected benefit was the proximity to old town Niagara on the lake. The home was a short, five-minute walk to all the shops and restaurants and only an eight-minute walk to Lake Ontario. We loved it.

Amazing location

Nice property….a bit dated but overall very comfortable.Second floor bathtub is positively dangerous to get in and out of Wifi was a big issue as it kept cutting out and a couple of us were never able to access.I would recommend to friends

Perfect Place!

Stayed two nights for a wedding. Home was exactly as advertised. Clean, well equipped, perfectly located. Communication with owner was easy and clear. Very good value for the area. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect home away from home. Will definitely stay again if back in the area.

The location of this property cannot be beat. Close to everything there is to do in NOTL. The house itself is pretty dated — squeaky floors, terrible internet, tub not draining and outlets in strange places. There is a good bit of room in the house — several bedrooms. All told, I would recommend it, primarily for the location. If you need internet, absent an upgrade, this is not the place for you.

A stay in Abigail house was very nice. This house is unique, nice, with worm and victorian atmosphere. Only note, that mistresses are not very comfortable. But overall our experience is very positive!

Stay at Abigail House

The property was easy to locate. The home was situatated perfectly where my family and I could walk to the lake and the quaint shops in the town. The house was clean and comfortable. All family members felt at home. The only thing i would say its the squeakiness of the stairs, aside from that my family and i enjoyed the home. We plan to do it again soon.
