Quiet waterfront cottage

  • Ubicado en la costa absoluta de Toronto, a 60 minutos de Hornsby, Sydney, a través de la F3 y a poca distancia de los viñedos de Hunter Valley.

    La orilla del lago está a 9 metros de la terraza. Puedes pescar desde el borde del césped.

    La cabaña con aire acondicionado dispuesta como una suite estudio tiene todo lo que necesita para un descanso relajante y confortable. Incorpora un asiento con ventanal con vistas a una hermosa vista, cama queen, cama nido individual, televisión, reproductor de CD, cocina totalmente equipada, terraza frente al mar, parrilla exterior, lavandería y parque cubierto en la puerta.

    Mientras muchos invitados se contentan con sentarse en la veranda o en el asiento de la ventana tomando una copa de vino y disfrutando de las magníficas vistas del agua, otros prefieren pasear por la ciudad y ver las casas de la federación, el Royal Motor Yacht Club, la histórica estación de trenes, el hotel y el paseo marítimo de Toronto Parque que incorpora los baños y restaurante.

We enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront cottage, especially the lake views. Our hosts were helpful and friendly, and we would recommend the cottage for a quiet getaway.

As soon as we walked in, the view from the large picture window was amazing, with extensive views of the lake.The outdoor setting was practically on the water's edge, and a lovely spot for relaxing.A 60 second walk took us to a pontoon where the fish were biting.The only sound we heard at night was the sound of the water lapping.A lovely place to unwind.

Gorgeous view from the bedroom and back yard, right on Lake Macquarie. Malcolm and Penny were very friendly, we learned a lot of things about the region while chatting with them.

Lovely, quiet place with the lake lapping virtually outside the back door. Perfect location to rest and recharge or to explore the environs of Lake MacQuarrie. The hosts, Malcolm and Penny, who live in the property next to the accommodation, are very helpful and friendly. They helped to orientate us when we got there and we really enjoyed chats with them both. The property is well equipped with a microwave and electric hob, fridge, kettle and toaster etc. There is a spacious shower room to one side of the kitchen (towels supplied) and a bedroom/lounge the other with a good size double bed, desk and television. There are a variety of books, including some interesting local and history books we spent some evenings reading. The rear window includes a seating area which looks out over the lake. Its a lovely view - perfect to sit in front of with one of those books or watch the sunrise from. Better still you can saunter outside to the lake edge just steps away or sit and have a coffee or bite to eat right by the lake. The small town of Toronto is a 10 to 15 min walk away with its restaurants, coffee places and shops. You can easily get to Fassifern on foot/bike via the Greenway or bus if you want to get a train - Newcastle is a good day out. If you are a runner like me then the Greenway to Fassifern and back via the bridge is a good 5 miler by the way... :-) Highly recommended place to stay. Huge thanks to Malcolm and Penny for being so helpful, from Simon and Elaine.
