Secluded luxury in the middle of a beautiful forest. Get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life in this comfortable home nestled within the pines. With fishing, snowmobile and ATV trails almost directly from the property, this is the quintessential Up North experience.

Air Conditioning: No air conditioning. Bedrooms each have a fan.

ATV's: You may use ATV/Snowmobiles on driveway but please do not use them on property other than to come and go to trails. Trails are nearby and so are rentals! North Store Follow Me Rentals rents ATV's in the summer months.

Animals: Deer, grouse, wolves, coyotes, and bear.

Cable: There is no cable but there is a Roku television for guest use.

Cell Phone Service: Cell phone service is spotty. AT&T does work the best at the property. Wifi calling and texting is always available.

Coffee Maker: There is a 12 cup drip coffee maker at the property for guest use.

Dock: There is no dock at the property.

Drinking Water: Well water. It is drinkable.

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fireplace: There is no fireplace at the property

Fire-pit: There is a portable propane fire pit. **Open fires are not allowed as the property is in a heavily wooded area.

Fishing: There is fishing in the creek behind the home but the slope to the creek is difficult to traverse.

Fishing License: A license is required to fish in Michigan.

Fishing Poles: Please bring your own

Golf: Newberry Country Club is 22 miles away

Grill: There is a charcoal grill. Please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

Grocery Store: There is an IGA and Mac's Market in Newberry 18 miles away.

Handicap Friendly: There are no additional features that make this property ADA compliant.

Heat: Propane forced air heating.

Hunting: Not on property.

Internet/WIFI: There is wifi at the property. 50 mbps

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.

Parking: There is ample parking at the property. Room for 3 cars in the driveway by the home and additional parking for 3 to 4 cars near the pole barn.

Pets: Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept up to 2 dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we'll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.

Privacy: This is a very secluded property in the forest.

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground. They have various seasonal rentals (summer: kayaks & atv's) / (winter: snowmobiles) They also have various guided tours of things depending on the season!

Space: There is a game room with a poker table and board games.

Special Features: This home is very close to ATV trails and Snowmobiling trails. You can access the trails on a snowmobile nearby the property.

Seniors: The area around the home is not super Senior friendly. There are stairs to enter the property.

Swimming: Not on property, but Muskallonge Lake State Park or Lake Superior (15 min)

Televisions: There is a 32 inch Roku television on the property in the living room.

Towels: All bath and kitchen towels will be provided during your stay. Please bring your own beach towels.

Washer and Dryer: There is a washer and a dryer on the property for guest use.
