The efforts of excellence & lux is clearly their goal. Quality in design, bed & room amenities… But, Unfortunately our room was not cleaned two times even with the clean room notice indicated. Returning to our room late night to NOT have a clean towel to wash up with, a clean cup to drink from & untidy room is frustrating & unexceptionable. We had to dispose of trash, dirty dishes & dirty linens to the hallway ourselves & repeatedly request basic room supplies. A hotel at this level & cost needs to have excellent tidiness & follow up with check points. It is not a pleasure to have to police the housekeeping & staff. It was extremely disappointing to stay in this hotel to find we could not lounge & enjoy the sauna & pool area as this is why I chose this hotel. The pool area closed for 2 months. We paid a premium but less amenities that are advertised. This changed our intended vacation drastically. If the hotel was to close the pool & sauna, the guests should receive discount rates as we are not able to enjoy these heavily advertised lux amenities. I would have chosen another hotel. All other hotels in the area had their pools open. I expressed these detailed disappointments to the staff each time we had to frustratedly request simple things. No gestures of any extra courtesy was ever offered. Overall, great rooms, restaurants, bars & views. it’s a shame to have this experience in this nice hotel.
