  • If dates you want are blocked please message me anyway. I block out dates for myself as it is my home. But my dates are often flexible. For example you may see an entire month blocked out because I am there for a week. In such situations I may be willing to forgo that week myself to open the month back up.

    Nicknamed 'The Smile House' due to its unique front of the house that gives the appearance of a smiling face.

    This 1500 square foot historic home is located in the heart of the Marigny Triangle, only 3 blocks from the French Quarter and Bourbon St. And only 1 block from the music filled Frenchman St.

    Please see reviews which all state pictures do not do the house justice!

    The kitchen has custom made cabinets with marble counter tops and a unique pot sink. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your culinary needs to keep you busy during your vacation whether you are just looking to make a quick breakfast or if you are serving dinner for eight! Small courtyard in rear of house.

    Enter the home into a sitting greeting/living room with a welcome desk, recliner and couch.. Sitting room opens into first main room(can also be used as a living room) and a pull out couch with queen size mattress. 2 recliners, electric fireplace insert, 32' flat screen TV, Ipod dock w CD player. Next you will find the amazing updated eat in kitchen w table seating for 8, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker,etc..

    Off kitchen is laundry room, 2nd bedroom and bath. The bath features a just updated walk in shower stall. 2nd bedroom has 2 FULL size beds with linens, large dresser and a TV.

    Also off the entry sitting room is the master suite. Suite has a living room and bedroom open to each other. Lliving room with Day bed which has 2 TWIN size mattresses., Ipod dock w CD player.The Master bedroom features a large armoire, QUEEN sized Tempur-Pedic bed w linens, Chaise Lounge, 37' flat screen TV w DVD. Off the master bedroom is master bath including: Whirlpool Bathtub, separate shower w jets for 2.
    ON DEMAND water heater. This means you will never run out of hot water no mater how many people are taking showers!

    House features 12 foot high ceilings, original wide planked wooden floors, tile floors in kitchen and baths, tons of natural lighting, exposed brick chimneys, and much more.

    The home is great for families and groups of all lifestyles. The neighborhood is friendly and accommodating to all, host to many local bars and restaurants for all tastes and styles. The home is non-smoking, but smoking is permitted outside in courtyard.

An Unforgettable 30-Day Stay in the Marigny I spent 30 incredible days at Jesse’s VRBO in New Orleans, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better place! Jesse, as a host, was absolutely magnificent in every aspect. I opted for weekly cleanings, and the cleaner he arranged was second to none—top-tier service every time.As someone native to the area, I felt like I was truly “welcomed home.” Jesse and his team deserve every accolade. Their kindness extended not just to me but also to my service animal, Lillie. They treated her like part of the family, exactly as she should be! In short: five stars everywhere—hosting, home, and heart. I can’t praise Jesse and his home enough!

Cozy house close to the French Quarter

From the get-go, Jesse was very easy to get in touch with and had free and open communication with me. Any question I had was answered immediately. Our place was conveniently located within a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter and so it was a great place to stay at during my sister's bachelorette party of 7 women. Each corner of the house had a note to help us follow structure and rules and easy guidelines. The cleaning service also left us beads for Mardi gras and a Kings' Cake! There was an abundance of clean towels, amenities and extra blankets every. We also enjoyed easy easy to extras as needed (batteries and a lighter for the stove) as well as soap for the washing machine. There was a point where I communicated with Jesse about the heat not working, but he was quick to email, text and call me to discuss how to fix it. I really loved staying at this home and enjoyed the whirpoool with the girls (we had to rest our tired feet in the tub) and we even named the gargoyles out front Envie (Envy) and Bette. The girls loved the home and we would gladly stay in this cute place any time we visit New Orleans. Jesse was a wonderful host and great facilitator of our needs!

Great location near the French Quarter

The property is in a fantastic location near the French Quarter and Frenchman's Street. The pictures online are very accurate. There was plenty of room for 9 of us staying in the house. The owner was very quick to respond to all requests and very easy to deal with. He let us in early on the day of arrival which was very helpful. I would recommend this home for anyone wanting to enjoy the French Quarter and Frenchman's Street.

Perfect!

Our stay in NOLA was perfect and it was largely due to the location of this property. Classic New Orleans home that can accommodate a large group of people comfortably. Jesse was more than accommodating to our needs (allowed us to check in early since our flight arrived a lot earlier than the scheduled check in). The home really is within walking distance to EVERYTHING. Thank you for a wonderful experience Jesse!

The Smile House was the perfect home base for my best friend's bachelorette weekend. Location is outstanding, house is unique, clean, and beautiful, and Jesse was extremely helpful and responsive. Will absolutely stay here again for my next New Orleans trip.

RUN, DON'T WALK!!

The Smile House was one of the best vrbo finds I've had so far. We recently stayed for a bachelorette weekend with 9 girls and had the best time. The Smile House made our trip that much better. Please believe the reviews when they say the pictures don't do it justice. Jesse's house has so much character, great artwork, curb appeal and it's in an awesome location! Jesse was great to communicate with and let us check in early. Thank you so much Jesse and we can't wait to stay here again for another occasion!

Perfect Stay

We had an incredible time staying at the Smile House - couldn't have picked a better spot for our bachelor party. The house was also super clean, well stocked with towels & sheets, plus the cleaning person left us with liquor from a tasting she had been to earlier that week. The master bedroom and bathroom were fantastic - we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Jesse was super accommodating and nice (even when I called him at 8am the day before our stay in a panic about forgetting to sign a document.)

Luxury in Marigny

The property is simply amazing! It is HUGE with exquisite art and furnishings (antique) that capture the charm that is New Orleans. The location is quite central to either jazz on Frenchmen Street or strolling into the French Quarter. It is also within 2 blocks of two wonderful breakfast places (The Ruby Slipper and Horn's -I would recommend Horn's). The owner has outfitted the property with anything you might possibly need. Not only do you feel at home but it has a homey vibe that invites you in such that you don't want to leave. I would not hesitate in renting this again - it.was.fabulous!

Cozy yet spacious.

This is our second time staying at Smile House and it was perfect! We had a minor issue with the air conditioning, but Jesse was on top of it and took care of the problem right away. The location is ideal - located near Frenchman and Bourbon. Given the chance, we would all definitely stay here again!

The house worked well for our group of 9. There is not a lot of privacy. Fortunately for us we knew each other well. The location was perfect for music on Frenchman or access to the quarter.

Exactly what we needed

The house had plenty of room for 10 people (with some doubling up in the beds). The location was excellent, easily walkable to Frenchmen and Bourbon, and the house had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to New Orleans

Smile House is the place to be!

The landlord was very flexible with Check-in and Check-out times when we alerted him in advance of our travel plans. The location was great, and we had everything we needed! I highly recommend it. A few blocks in either direction and you have good food, a variety of bars and great music!

Amazing time

We stayed here for a bachelor party really enjoyed our stay at the Smile House. We arrived and the house was very clean and no problems at all. The house is beautiful and in walking distance or a 5-10 minute Uber to almost everything. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone!

Great house for a group staying near Bourbon St

We had 9 guys down in New Orleans stay in the Smile House from a Fri-Mon. Great location as it's about 15 min from the heart of Bourbon St and a little further to the French Quarter/Market. Nice food market about 5 min away (Roberts). The house comfortably fit everyone and had everything necessary for a great weekend - stocked kitchen, nice back patio, AC, cable TV, etc. Highly recommend staying here for any trip to New Orleans.
