"This resort has yurts and domes as well as rooms in the lodge. The yurts and domes do not have their own baths. The lodge rooms where we were did. The room had a double bed and a single. The double was quite comfortable, the single not so much. Our room was on the bottom floor. There was a restaurant attached and the option to have a package with breakfast and dinner. "We wish we could live at Rita’s retreat all the time! Our room was nice and cozy. The backyard is so spacious and peaceful all the way down to the water. The indoor saltwater pool was icing on the cake! Mike was very accommodating, helpful and fun to talk to— I recommend Rita’s Retreat!"

"I only stayed here for one night, but it was a very peaceful stay. The location was perfect for a view of the sunset. Unfortunately the night I was there was too cloudy to see it, but the stay was still worth everything else. The room and amenities were very well kept and cozy to stay in. I even walked a short trail that led to a brook (Sally’s Brook) that I don’t think had another access point. I would love to stay here again."

"This is a unique stay on the world famous Cabot Trail. It is a one room cabin, like a treehouse over looking St Anns Bay. The washroom facilities are a short walk down hill the facilities. It is not for everybody. It definitely worked for us! We spent 5 nights of relaxing after the beautiful drives we took on the Cabot Trail. The bed was great and having a coffee on the front deck was a great way to start the day. Thank you to the hosts! Cheers @EddieMac75 "

"What a beautiful place! The cabin, located just 15 minutes outside of Baddeck, is clean, cozy, and comfortable. There's room for a child or extra guest in the loft, and the kitchenette has everything you need. The view is spectacular, the hammock up in the birch trees is so comfy and peaceful, and there's a fireput to enjoy in cooler seasons. We were so sad we didn't have longer to stay. A blacksmith did a lot of beautiful work on the interior, and the artwork is tasteful and thought-provoking....

"The dome itself was lovely and well situated on the water. The bed was uncomfortable, but the linens were clean. I was very disappointed in the facilities. I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. The only way I was able to fill up water bottles was to ask the people at the lodge to go into the kitchen to fill my water bottles. I was also incredibly disgusted by the showers at Cabot Shores. "We certainly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful setting. The cottages were well stocked with everything we needed! The check-in and check-out process was easy to follow and the host was very responsive to the few questions we had."

"Good basic house just outside the town of Baddeck. Not really walkable into downtown, but just a five-minute drive with plenty of parking. Open living area, but just a little cramped. Good breeze with windows open to cool down the house on a warm summer day. Would stay again."
