The location of this property is perfect. It's the ideal spot to explore Cape Breton and the surrounding area, the property itself is very large and very private, and the cottage is a great size. Having access to a kitchen and laundry was great, heating worked great when it got surprisingly cool on a few of the nights. The downside is the property doesn't seem as well cared for lately. A lot of the kitchen items had seen better days and there's definitely some kind of a carpenter ant problem happening, they were a constant problem. The beds unfortunately were just not great, collapsing under any weight.

Beautiful Spot

Beautiful cottage with lovely view of the water and Kelly's mountain the yard was really nice to sit out in the evening and have a few drinks very quiet and peaceful I would definitely recommend people to stay here you would have everything you need close to stores and shopping and gorgeous scenic drives would definitely make you want to book this beautiful cottage

Great location, private

Kelly's Mountain is perfectly located to explore all that Cape Breton has to offer. Several great restaurants are within an easy commute as well.

Kellys Mountain Cottage

Lovely cottage at the base of the mountain. The cottage had everything and more for those who like to cook and entertain.On a well maintained dirt road for those who like to walk or run.Close to main highway.

We had a great stay at this property. There is lots of room inside and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the fire pit area outside. Air conditioning was definitely a plus!! It was a great location with lots of places to explore nearby.

Perfect get away for a family

We had a fabulous time enjoying this private and peaceful property with our two kids. Close to Cabot Trail, Beddeck, and Sydney with all the charms of a cottage and comforts of home. Many memories made here!

We really enjoyed our stay here for 5 days. It was the perfect central location for travelling all the trails around Cape Breton Island. Kim was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone coming to Cape Breton for a vacation.

Great host, very responsive. The property is at a great location for visiting the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. It is just a short drive from the Cabot Trail Rd. Very quiet, with a great view, and very clean.

Our host, Kim, was amazing. There was an initial problem with the water, and she bent over backwards to fix it herself as quickly as possible.The space was comfortable and clean. It is close to the Cabot Trail and a bunch of other Cape Breton activities, and we had the chance to get to see a lot of them.Highly recommended.

Great cottage and location!

Cottage is well appointed and clean and has everything you need. The large property makes for a peaceful stay. It is well situated to the Cabot Trail and Baddeck (~ 20km away) and to grocery/NSLC/Walmart (~30km). Excellent communication with owner (Kim). We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay in Cape Breton!

The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for the time we were there. Any questions we had were promptly answered by Kim. Our 3 girls (ages 8, 6, 9 months) all had a blast exploring Cape Breton!
