  • In the heart of Downtown New Braunfels. Walk to 14 restaurants within 4 blocks. The Pour Haus bar and music venue is right around the corner. Enjoy your coffee watching the sunrise on the wide front porch. During the day, take a stroll through the streets of downtown where there is plenty of shopping, bowling and pool tables to keep you entertained. Grab a drink and bowl a game or two at the Downtown Social right around the corner or sit back and relax listening to local musicians at the Pour Haus. Float the Comal River - 3 blocks away. Visit the Railroad Museum or check out the live performance events at the Brauntex Theater. Play golf on the Landa Park course. Ride the Landa Park mini-train. Play mini-golf at Landa Park. Shop at the outlets in San Marco. Visit the Alamo in San Antonio. Visit the site of the former Pearl Brewery in San Antonio where you will find restaurants, hotels and shops. Take the river tour in San Antonio. Visit Austin, tour the capitol building. Go to Antone's for music in Austin.
    Austin is one hour when it is not rush hour. San Antonio is 30 minutes when it is not rush hour. Pack n Play.

    There are 4 large bedrooms and 2 full baths. There are three king beds and 2 bunk beds with a full bed below and a twin on top of each. Also, an eat-in kitchen and large living area to relax in after a day on the river. The backyard offers plenty of space to sit out and play games. This house is perfect for large families or groups!


    There is tons of music within a 5-minute walk. Visit the Pour Haus, Phoenix Saloon, Krauses, Black Whale Pub, Watering Hole, Krause German beer hall, Downtown Social. Moonshine and Ale piano bar is live on Thursday-Saturday. These are all one to two blocks from the house.

    Go out to Canyon Lake (a 20 minute drive). Go boating, jet skiing, water skiing. Hike the gorge at Canyon Lake. Go fishing. Walk across the Canyon damn.

    Go fly fishing on the Guadalupe River in Gruene. Hire a fishing guide at Gruene River Outfitters.

Please know that you will hear music at the house from the Pour Haus, and we are close to a train track. There are no train whistles, just rumbles.
New Braunfels recycles. Please put all clean paper, bottles, cans in the blue container. No open outdoor fires. No cig butts in the yard, please.
Please use the dishwasher. Please dry off the dining table after each use. Water damages the finish. Please wipe up spills on the front porch.

Great place near the heart of the city. Walking distance to all the great spots and there was ample parking at the house. The historic house had all of the right amenities and the host was very communicative prior to our visit.

Clean and Spacious

The house is exactly as advertised. It is in the heart of downtown New Braunfels and within walking distance of food, music and shopping. The home is 123 years old, very clean and beautiful! We had family stay ages 7 to 73 and everyone was happy with the house. Highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer.

Highly Recommend

The house was so cute, clean, and neatly laid out for privacy and function. The front porch is perfect for relaxing and socializing, and the location is ideal for walking around downtown. Highly recommend and will stay again if anywhere near the area!

Great House and Location

Really nice house, lots of space for 11 of us. Super convenient and near everything. If you do stay, the pizza rolls at Calahan's Pub and Pizza are a must try ( The pub and staff are great too ).

Wonderful house. Great location! Couldn’t have been better. The host was very accommodating and even let us arrive early to decorate for a baby shower. We hope to stay here again!

Perfect.

After losing our 12 year old daughter from complications to cancer. We were in search of a nice one night stay with our family of now 5, and a few friends! This house was the perfect place. Location was perfect, house was beautiful! We will be booking in the future. The little kids even had fun thinking they stayed in a life-sized doll house!

Great gathering place

We had a great time at this house. Beds are comfortable, house was clean, hostess was accommodating and house was stocked. The only wish I had was that the sitting area had a little more comfortable seating.
