"Great stay. Apartment location was perfect. Very walkable. We chose to park in the 4th Street parking garage which felt safe and was an easy walk and was less costly then metered street parking. We did have some trouble finding the entrance to the building but Oscar was responsive and helpful. What I wasn't expecting was 40 steep stairs to get up to the apartment. This would have been nice to know from the listing as we were traveling with 3 small children (for the crayola experience)...

"While the property offered ample parking and a convenient location with a store across the street, our overall experience was disappointing due to issues with access, cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.Upon arrival, we were unable to access the property despite being promised entry information the day before, causing us to be late for a wedding rehearsal and dinner. We had to contact customer support to obtain the access code and entry instructions.Inside, the home had a strong smoke odor that...

"The house was fine. Description would have better been described as a split level with three sets of stairs. The step into the front door is very high with no hand railing on the outside to help with getting up or down. When you are a little older with short legs it is very challenging. It would be better if the house numbers were better displayed as we passed by on several occasions when returning at night. Kitchen was nice with all that you need. "Overall a great place to stay in Allentown. The place is well appointed and the beds were comfortable. We ended up parking on the street as parking behind the building was a bit confusing to understand precisely where to park. You do have to pay to park on the street every day except Sunday. The owner of Gems and Joe was very kind and informative regarding the area. This is so much nicer than a hotel and so much more comfortable."

"Some things we liked: the TV is huge, couch and upstairs bed are comfy, the private dock, felt like a safe location, responsiveness of the host, board games provided Some things we didn’t like: none of the fire alarms were installed (they were all sitting on top of the cupboards in a pile), the breaker to the fridge, washer, and back room tripped more times than I can count on my fingers and toes for a 4-night stay, wet towels left in the washer, comforter in the small room smelled like urine,...
