There are two Kroger’s within a mile of our house. Publix is also a mile away. There is also a full service, locally owned grocery store called Turnip Truck that is 2 miles away. Roy’s Meat Service is a family owned butcher shop with high quality meat if you are cooking in or they offer tasty meat and three.

• The Wash – great option for takeout with several choices. East Side Pho is my favorite
• Bite a Bit Thai & Sushi – great food, cocktails, and atmosphere
• Café Roze – great brunch spot
• Chicago Chicken & Waffle – great food

• Walden – frozen cocktails, cool graffiti wall
• Urban Cowboy – craft cocktails and a large patio
• Rosepepper Cantina – strong margs and cool letter board outside
• Skinny Dennis – great music and good bar food. Pool tables. Literally walk out the front door and less than ½ mile there.
• Five Points Area – several bars together within walking distance to each other. Noble East, Red Door, 5 Spot (great music) and Beyond The Edge
• Tiger Bar – lovely atmosphere
• Pearl Diver – tasty drinks, delicious food and fun atmosphere
• Gramps Garage – laid back, no frills with garage theme
• Martha My Dear – excellent décor and great drinks in a laid back theme with a pool table

Local Music:
• The Basement East -Indie and garage rock bands
• Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge - live music, retro 70's vibe dive bar
• Five Spot - local hotspot for live music
