Summary:
*This is a 5 BR house* Only 8 miles from historic Leipers Fork, this sprawling 3-story log home includes a wrap around deck, swimming pool hot tub, wood burning fireplace, fire-pit, propane grill, outdoor swing set, pool table, darts, poker/card table, wifi onsite! A great place to make memories with your friends & family, and also often used as a retreat for local Nashville/Franklin songwriters. No group functions with more than 17 guests! Pool closed from October to May 1st!

The Space:
Make memories to last a lifetime in this spectacular log cabin, nestled in the gently rollings hills of Franklin, TN. Just 30 miles from downtown Nashville, and only minutes from Historic Leipers Fork. This cabin was built on Ed Bruce's old place. Ed wrote the song, "Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" and with that success, he purchased some of the area's most desirable land! The Lyric Log House is set up for extended conversations around the fireplace, board games and puzzles in the game room, and enjoying a fresh cup of coffee on the deck. Outdoor activities include a swimming pool (open from Memorial Day to Thanksgiving ), hot tub (open year-round), a fire pit, and 18 acres of land where you might see deer & turkey roaming freely.

The scale of the home is ideal for extended family gatherings and getaway vacations. The well-stocked kitchen and huge dining room is perfect for large family dinners. Curl up with a good book in the cozy sitting rooms or spend a quiet morning on your bedroom balcony, sipping tea and watching the birds begin their day. The remote setting will also allow you to enjoy the night sky with star gazing or a roaring bonfire.

The winding country roads leading to this secluded estate are picture postcard perfect. No wonder so many celebrities call this unique part of the Nashville area home. The proximity to Nashville's legendary Music Row also makes it the perfect temporary residence for recording artists and entertainment professionals looking for a little peace and quiet during their Nashville stay. The pastoral setting also makes the Lyric Lane cabin perfect for retreats or reunions. The reason why we state "not suitable for children" is because nothing in the house is child-proof! We don't have any child protection inside for the stairs, sockets, furniture, layout, etc and we don't have any child items, such as cribs, high chairs, sippy cups, etc. That being said, we have had plenty of guests come with children who have thoroughly enjoyed our home! We just want to make everyone aware of the fact that there is no child proofing! Children are welcome! (Limit 16 people total staying overnight).
(Total of 5 bedrooms ) *Also, please note that we are aware of some children's scribblings on the bedroom walls/closet doors upstairs!!

Sleeping arrangements are as follow:
Main level: 1 King bed with full ensuite Bathroom. Half Bathroom in living area.
Upstairs: (2) Bedrooms with (2) full beds in each room plus 2 futon sleepers. Full bathroom
Downstairs: 1 King bed, 2 twins (bunk bed), 1 twin, 1 full Murphy bed. Full Bathroom
Living Room: 1 sleeper sofa

**PLEASE NOTE: Please remove any snow/ice/debris from the cover of the hot tub before attempting to open! Failure will do so may result in damages.

**There is an additional $500 fee for guests wanting to book my property for filming and/or photography. A location agreement must be provided to me prior to your shoot date.**

The total price of the reservation is based on the nightly rate set by the host, plus fees or costs determined by the host or booking platform. Extra guest fee charged by some hosts for extra guests beyond a set number, which may fluctuate.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire property, jacuzzi hot tub, and pool (*pool and hot tub open from late April through November but subject to close earlier due to extreme cold weather*). The garage is not usable but there is ample parking for vehicles.

The Neighborhood:
Around 30 miles from downtown Nashville, the house is minutes from historic Leipers Fork. The winding country roads leading to this secluded estate are picture postcard perfect. No wonder so many celebrities call this unique part of Nashville home.

Cleaners will be there promptly at 10am unless you previously arranged for a late check out!

Business trip

We loved the Cabin. It was an amazing get-away spot for our business trip. While our main personnel were away at conference our family’s were able to enjoy the beautiful area and pool!!

Perfect retreat!

We had the best time at this property. We used it for a church staff retreat. There was plenty of space, it was so clean and the hosts were so friendly! We loved this space and are already looking forward to booking it for next year!

Getaway with grandkids

We came to the hills near Liepers Fork with our five grandchildren ages 5 to 13…a nice day on Natchez Trace Parkway and then arriving at checkin time to have this wonderful space for kids to run around, have their own getaway in upstairs bedrooms while my wife and I enjoyed the main level master suite with full bath. Great well stocked kitchen including 2 fridges and icemaker in one. Though using well water ,we had great water pressure and always enuff hot water. Next time we will find firewood for indoor fireplace and bonfire pits…but we warmed up nicely in the dockside hot tub…kids loved it! Great playroom for games and billiards and watching college basketball in the theater themed rows of coaches. Everything worked well but seems time for redoing some of furniture and a good spring scrubbing once days get warmer. Hope to come back in summer or fall but really was a great winter getaway for us all. Despite the storms and high water we were very safe and snug in the cabin. Thanks for letting us hang out there.

Great Reunion Stay

We booked a week here for a reunion of college friends and the property was great. Everything was in good condition and clean. The house and grounds were lovely and as pictured or better. Check-in and out were easy and the house rules and cleaning responsibilities were completely reasonable. Would absolutely consider renting again if we return to the area.

great for families

We had a family vacation here: 8 adults as well as 6 children aged 5-11. The bedroom and bathroom situation could not have worked out better. Plenty of room in a beautiful home in a wondrous setting. Totally encircled by tall, green, lush trees. The grandkids loved the oversized pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. A short ride into Franklin downtown and Leipers Fork. 35 minutes to Nashville.

We want to come back!

We loved our stay on Lyric Lane! The host was wonderful from the first communication at booking through departure. We had immediate responses to all our concerns and questions. The digital book with details for the home was well written and answered most questions we had. And the host took care of the rest. Thank you! The home is beautiful! Our family had plenty of space to be together or to have private time if desired. The kitchen is well appointed. Any guest will find all they need to prepare and serve a meal. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of them. The kids of our family loved the games in the house. And the media room was also a big hit on the one rainy day we had. The pool is perfect for hanging out! The depth is great for kids and adults alike. We loved the pool! All-in-all, we hope to come back again to Lyric Lane for another family vacation!

Great Getaway

Away from it all... In a beautiful location. Pool and hot tub were in great working order. Plenty of towels, games and the kitchen was well appointed. Nashville downtown was about an hour away, but the quaint Leipers Fork was about 15-20 minutes. We did love the house and we're very happy we chose this location.

Long weekend

Plenty of beds and a nice pool table on a secluded property. Pool hadn't opened yet but the weather was great for the hot tub. We considered playing darts but found that all the dart shafts were damaged/needing to be replaced. Besides that every went smooth as expected and check in/check out was simple.

Lovely Home in a Great Location

We loved the beautiful wood house, deck and floors. Floors were a bit creaky though when walking so we had to try and be quiet once the kids went to bed. The deck railing needs some work. The kitchen was well equipped, even having 2 crockpots and a Keurig but the 2nd frig did not get cold. An air fryer would have been nice. The beds were firm but comfortable. Loved the long dining table. We were all able to eat and play games together. The pool table was not balanced (may have been the carpet) and the cue sticks are warped. I was still able to whoop my grandson though. lol Hot tub was great but the steps move. Had to be careful getting out. The yard was well groomed and perfect for corn hole. It was a little bit of a drive into Nashville but not too bad. We were actually going to nearby cemeteries to bury ashes so being out in the country was perfect. Even let us have a 5 pm late checkout since our flight wasn't until 10 pm. Definitely would rent again. Maybe when we can make use of the swimming pool.

We had issues with all the TV’s and couldn’t get some of them to work. We contacted the manager who worked with us. The downstairs is NOT a theater room. The charcoal grill needs to be replaced because you cannot control the heat (it’s broke). The pool needs a cover as it is dangerous for kids. The hot tub was not clean (stuff floating in it) and the cover is falling apart. The main floor with living room and kitchen needs a good cleaning including couches, throws, rugs. Pool table was not level. Bedrooms and kitchen were good and were as described. We enjoyed being with family but would not go back to this house.

The actual house itself was beautiful and the views as well. However the inside furniture is in bad condition. Sofa needs to be replaced. The pool was dirty however the next day someone came to clean it. Owner was very responsive in a timely manner.

Pool problems

The house was great. Upon arrival the pool was not full and had a hose in it with no prior explanation. The hose on made the house stink of sulfur and water tasted and smelled. House cleaners told us a storm pushed patio furniture into pool and ripped the liner. They did repair it hence refilling. In touch with owners who were willing to rectify. That did not happen although I believe they tried. They refunded half our monies. I think this was all just circumstantial and would not sway a recommendation.

Great for a friend reunion!

This is a beautiful, well appointed home with all the amenities you could need. It felt incredibly spacious for a group of 8 and everyone was comfortable. The pool was great for the hot summer days and hot tub a beautiful spot at night. Little things like having Tupperware, two refrigerators, tons of towels showed us that these hosts have thought of everything a group could need. Our hosts also provided a comprehensive guide to the home which we referenced several times and was very helpful. We spent most mornings at the home before venturing into downtown Franklin or Nashville and it was a great home base. The gravel parts of the road in were a little tricky with one of our cars (a sedan) but we quickly got comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful and relaxing getaway

The property is stunning with beautiful views from the back deck. The kitchen was fully outfitted. Everything was simply perfect for our family getaway. The host was responsive on any questions we had, and obviously puts a great deal of effort into making sure that the property is well-maintained. We will certainly be back.

Yoga Retreat Weekend

This property was perfect for hosting a yoga retreat. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking essentials, the dining room is spacious and nicely opens to the living room. We had plenty of space to be together comfortably and to find space for alone time.

Large Group Home in middle of Woods

Stayed at the property with a group of 12. The host had great communication prior to the stay to answer our questions and was very accommodating. The home was setup well for a group this size and gave us plenty of space both inside and out. The home came well furnished with plenty of extras. Highly recommended. With that said, it could use a little TLC in places but nothing major.

Great Isolated Cabin

We loved this cabin. It had all you could want ranging from a pool, hot tub, 3 floors offering all forms of entertainment, and a property that was simply huge. My group loved the property and isolation while there. However, that isolation does lead to seem distance from activities so expect to drive far and often. We expected this however thus couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

It was not that bad

The house was nice but the area was very creepy I was paranoid half of the time. I didn’t go outside much. The roads are very scary and dangerous so be very cautious! There aren’t any food places or stores close so make sure you stock up on a lot of food! Owner was nice and very helpful until we had a misunderstanding about some things. With that being said make sure you read her welcome book, you don’t want to miss anything because she has a lot of fines and policies you may not pay attention to. Any time with my family is a good time though, no matter where we are. I enjoyed my stay but this isn’t a place I’d stay again, if that makes sense.
