"This was a 3 night stay, with 11 other golfers, in the heart of Wantage, It is an old property in the town square. Rooms were small but adequate. Bathroom was well maintained and clean. (Nice towels). We dined there once and breakfasted three times. Food was good. Service was very professional and friendly. The bar was well stocked and lively whilst we were there. Only criticism was the hotel seemed very warm especially in the room. I had a fan and could open the window etc but it did not...

"Great location, friendly staff however challenging when a football match is on with the stadium next door."

"Super freundliches Personal. Hier wird Gastfreundschaft groß geschrieben. Internet hervorragend um auf dem Smart tv Netflix oder andere Streaming Dienste zu nutzen"

"Nice"

"Stunning property. Immaculate rooms and public areas. Didn’t dine here but menu looked amazing. Bar staff were knowledgeable and professional. Cocktails to die for. Will certainly be returning."

"I’ve booked two standard for a trip in April 26. On arrival, we were given a family room and informed that that was the last room they had available. Entry into the room electrics in did not work it was cold with one bed settee prepared and a double bed. Upon complaint and insistence that our original booking was two standard. "The Abbey Hotel was an amazing place to stay. Would highly recommend for anyone. Accessible for people with disabilities as well. Great reception staff. 10/10 would stay again."

"A really great place to spend a night or two. A budget hotel so rooms are compact, with limited in room facilities. However, lovely staff, great WiFi, breakfast if required. Hot drink facilities in the cafe area to help yourself and the bonus of this was being able to make my tea with fresh milk! I would definitely stay here in preference to a Travelodge or many Premier Inns, but don't share the secret!"

"The room was clean and the sheets. The common bathroom needs a bit of a scrub as the wall tiles are not clean The staff were pleasant and helpful"

"Third time staying. Great location for accessing DMU"

"the shower wasn't working plugs in the rooms were terrible its was all very bad experience though 🙃"
