This lakefront estate offers a vacation rental suite set on a beautiful vineyard with breathtaking view of Okanagan lake, a few hundred feet lakefront with a private beach, and lots of open space. Perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. Welcome!

INSIDE THE SOUTH VIEW SUITE
Our vacation rental suite is located on the garden level of this Naramata Bench log home. You won’t feel like you’re in a basement though! Both bedrooms have full-size double patio doors stepping you right out onto your patio, the yard and vineyard, facing west. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed. And the second bedroom has a queen bed and a set of twin-sized bunks. Between the two bedrooms is a Jack-and-Jill style three-piece bathroom. (see picture of floor plan). If you're travelling as two couples, you might find the layout just a bit unusual. We suggest using the outdoor patio as your walkway between rooms to maximize the bedroom privacy.

The living/dining/kitchen area is an open space with big windows and a double patio door. The living room has a large couch, and there is a flat screen TV with cable and high-speed WiFi for those who want a bit of screen time.

The kitchen area is small, but it gets the job done. An apartment-sized fridge, two stove-top range, large toaster oven, toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee-maker and pots/pans and dishes are there to help you prepare basic and more than basic meals. We don’t have an oven, but to make up for it there is BBQ outside. And of course, we wouldn’t have a vineyard without wine glasses and a decanter to help you enjoy your loot!

OUTDOOR LIVING ON THE VINEYARD:
Enough about the indoor space, chances are you’ll want to relax in the beautiful Naramata bench outdoors with the spectacular view of Okanagan Lake! You’ve got your own private patio with Adirondack chairs for relaxing, and an outdoor dining area. There is a very large yard, and 3.5 beautiful acres of vines for everyone to enjoy. We are also lucky to have several hundred feet of lakefront! To get down to our private, natural beach you’ll have to take a bit of a walk down our dirt track. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down and there’s a bit of an incline, but well worth it! Great for an afternoon or a morning swim!

PLEASE NOTE: There is another rental unit on site. Both units have their own outdoor space. We always expect each group to be respectful of each-other, and mindful of noise that may disturb each-other's rest and relaxation.

OUT AND AROUND NARAMATA AND PENTICTON:
The Naramata and Penticton area has so much to enjoy. Explore some of the nearby wineries and restaurants for a taste of the best the region has to offer. Enjoy local festivals, weekly farmers markets, wine tours. Explore local boutiques for a sample of some local culture.

If exercise is more your speed, this estate is right along the Kettle Valley Railway trail, with hundreds of kilometres of cycling paths extending across British Columbia. Easy access to the trail is just a short ride away. If mountain biking is your thing, there are more than a handful of trails at all levels of difficulty nearby. Hit the water for some paddling, boating, fishing or swimming. We are only minutes away from Penticton, conveniently located for the Pentiction Challenge Triathlon, and 40 minutes from Apex Mountain Ski resort. This lakefront home is perfectly located for an active getaway.

Whether relaxing in wine country or training for the Penticton Challenge, this is the ideal place to call home during your stay.

Beautiful view. Lovely patio. But very odd layout of the suite. You need to access the second bedroom by going through bedroom number one and then through the jack and jill bath to the bedroom. Or you can access the second bedroom by walking outside. Just an odd, odd design. Not great for 2 couples or for a couple with children, if you would like some privacy.

Location was quite and had beautiful views of the lake. It was a bit of a trek to get down to the beach from the house, so we opted for one of the public beaches instead. The suite was spacious and had room for several people. Driving to both Naramata and Penticton city centres were quick so had lots of food and entertainment options close by.

The view is amazing and the walk down to the lake is well worth it to have a little bit of the lake all to yourself. I would give this place 6 stars if I could!!

Very Disappointed

Very disappointing. Property was not as described. Laminate floors were separating by as much as half an inch including along the patio doors where a number of insects, both dead and live, were laying about crawling out. There were spiders nesting on the ceiling as well as crawling in the floor and walls. No smoke detectors and the oversized toaster oven was not there. The kitchen was small and the two burner cook top was was outdated. The floors and tables had a layer of dust and needed further cleaning. There was no broom or vacuum. Outside was unkept and underwhelming. Communication with the owner by phone was brief and interrupted. We chose not to stay and left shortly after arrival. After notifying the owner of our departure and concerns there was no response from the owner of our emails and text messages. While the view was beautiful and bedding was neat, I would not recommend this property to anyone looking to stay on a vineyard in Naramata.

We loved our time here! The owner was super responsive. The space is big and clean. It is so peaceful. A great place to bird watch and we spent each evening marveling at the bats. The property around it was a bit unkept. The only draw back was the fact that it did not have air conditioning so I had a hard time sleeping.

Beautiful views and a great location on the Naramata Bench. A few hiccups with the checkin process and a cleaning oversight delayed our ability to access the space however the owner communicated well. We enjoyed the view and proximity to our favourite wineries.

Comfortable and in a spectacular location but not a 5 star resort and not presented as one. Nicely furnished with good linens. Essentially a walkout basement onto a large covered deck area. Expensive…..you are paying for the location.

Beautiful Naramata B.C.

The strength of this VRBO is the view from the patio area. It is stunning. The accommodations are well suited for 4 ppl with generally comfortable beds, easy access, good parking and small efficiency kitchen for simple snack preparation. The shared bathroom between bedrooms worked out ok however it was a bit awkward to have to walk through one bedroom to get to the next bedroom through the bathroom. Yet, we used the sliders in the bedrooms to go outside and adjusted without much of a problem. It is a beautiful property which we loved immediately.

A great getaway with everything you need

The place has everything. Lots of room for two families of 4. Clean and modern interiors in the place itself. And the location is moments away from both the lake and the pool. What else could you need? Nothing. It's a great place to stay.

Beautiful views in the heart of wine and lake country

The place had the most amazing view over the lake. We enjoyed the short but steep hike down to the private beach each day and during breaks enjoyed the proximity to many places to try the local wine and produce. We hope to be back to visit again.

Very unique stay

Fabulous stay in Naramata vineyard. Very special to walk down path to pebble beach. Bring water shoes to better enjoy a refreshing dip in the lake. There were 4 nice chairs down there. If the main unit above is rented, be prepared to hear people walking/talking above you as it is a log cabin. And a large deck is above part of the unit so you could hear people enjoying themselves up there. Hosts were very responsive and we’d stay again.

Our Stay at Sail Away Vineyards

We had a lovely time at this property. There were a couple things that did not work well on the property that I will let the host know about. The property is a great place to unwind and relax with the great view of the lake. It is centrally located on the Naramata Bench. Lisa the host was very easy to access if you had a question.

Perfect for a family needing 2 bedrooms. The faucets in the shower and kitchen were a bit tricky, and you must remember to bring your own soap and shampoo. Otherwise, a great place for a family.

Lovely Naramata Bench and Okanagan Lake

Peaceful and quiet location. Apartment was well equipped and beds were exceptionally comfortable. We couldn't figure out how to use the TV. Mostly we just enjoyed the wine, and location.
