"I have no idea how this property has a good rating on the Expedia site. That was not our experience. The room was not clean with wrappers on the floor and a dirty towel on the shelf. We arrived later in the evening and when we got up the next morning all I wanted just wanted to get out of there. I did speak with the staff and she said I should have asked for another room. Lesson learned. No apology."

"Don’t desk person was great. Surprised no coffee machine in room, but understand to save plastic, coffee in lobby, and have option of requesting machine Which is ok."

"Belvoir is one of our favorite staycation destinations!! Love everything about it! From the staff, especially Ashley attending the bar, to the location and accommodations."

"A lovely historic hotel. The Spa was top notch. The 3 Owls restaurant was phenomenal. And the desk staff were friendly, quick, & knowledgeable. The Ghost tour is a lovely bit of local color. I would recommend ppl opt to stay here rather than KC."

"This was a scary stay. I told my kids that I thought that I was staying at the Bates Motel (google the movie Psycho if you are not familiar). It is in a desolate area and gave off a creepy vibe. The parking lot has huge potholes. The room itself was pretty good. I have no complaints there. No coffee or breakfast available in the morning. Good internet connection, which was an issue with other hotels that I have stayed at. I would not stay here again."

"This was such a wonderful little place hidden right in the middle of a neighborhood! It’s exceptionally clean and quiet. Christopher was so friendly and pleasant and shared the history of the home with us. And the breakfast was incredible! Fresh, homemade and delicious. We would stay here again in a minute! "

"This was my 2nd stay here and planning to stay again in the future. Continental breakfast is still quick and filling with a variety of choices. Maybe biscuits and gravy would be a welcome addition. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the brightly lit parking lot. I feel very safe staying here."

"This property was absolutely perfect! The grounds were amazing, with a beautiful lake with a sidewalk all around it for a nice morning walk. BUT the thing that stood out the most about this was the QUIET! This really was the most quiet peaceful hotel I have ever been to. So close to the city but offered the quiet of the country!"

"An older property, but has been well-remodeled. Staff was extremely helpful. Rooms were very comfortable."

"What a nightmare!!! If it wasn't late, my husband and I would go to another hotel. We we walked in the lobby so of speak, the staff was caged behind a bullet proof like room. He rolled a draw out to take my ID and credit card. He said a $50 deposit is required in case we damage the room. What a joke. There is nothing possible that we will take or damage in the room. There was a small fee associated with that $50 deposit. When we walked to our room, there were people sitting outside of the room...
