Habitación espectacular!

La ubicación es precisa, Justo en frente del terminal de tren, las letras del nombre está en pequeño, hay que mirar bien, debajo hay restaurante, ascensor pequeño como es de esperarse en Italia, La persona que nos atendió súper amable, llegamos un poco tarde y sin avisar sobre el check in, tuvimos suerte de encontrar al personal ahí, la habitación muy muy bonita y limpia. Todo ok.

Location being next to the train station is great, with lots of restaurant options on the doorstep in summer. With them being open till late at night, and the focus on safety by the hotel, it makes the stay feel very safe. Room was nice and clean, comfortable bed.

Perfect Stay

The place was super cute! It was kind of confusing to find at first but the workers downstairs helped us out. Once we found it the owner was so kind and helpful. The place was perfect! And the breakfast items were sooo good!

The property was recently renovated and was amazing. Spacious, clean and comfy. The area was busy but a bit unsafe especially during the night and far from all the sightseeing but it was really convenient for us since we used the regional train to move outside of the city.

It took me a while to locate the property, it isnt in an exactly easy to locate spot and no one in the area knew anything about it, but once I found it I loved the place.

The Royal Gismonda is conveniently located near the Central train station and the Metro (both lines - A and B) are steps away. It's a little bit away from the historical landmarks/downtown. There are a lot of small cafe, bistros, restaurants near the property (the area is very busy). The room (Luxury Double (Savoy)/1night stay) was quite nice&cozy, and had an upper loft area with additional bed. Seems like this place was recently renovated; the bathroom was modern and squeaky clean. The property has the kitchenette with variety of fresh coffee and tea. This place is like a mini-hotel, located in old-building apartment, converted into a hotel (which seems quite typical for Italy). The building itself is quite old and big with some other businesses and flats. In order to get to the premises, you have to contact the Hotel staff and get the keys from the main entrance to the building, and the room itself. The staff was very responsive, communicating in a very expedited manner (in our case- via WhatsApp in a matter of minutes). The breakfast (coffee and delicious sfogliatella - questo è molto Napoletano! ) was in the nearby street cafe. The word of advice: download the translation app - e.g. Google Translate - just in case if you'll need to communicate more freely; it's helpful, instructive, and fun! El dueño de la propiedad es una persona atenta y amable que te hace sentir en familia. Todo estaba en perfecto orden, la decoración preciosa y de muy buen gusto. La limpieza impecable. La localización es perfecta y aunque la entrada al edificio es algo confusa no tiene nada que ver con la belleza y confortabilidad de la estancia que es inmejorable.

BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER, TOOLS AND EARPLUGS

Only thing "royal" about this place is the curtain colour, - blue. Booked this accommodation in good faith believing they had king size beds - husband is 201cm tall, big framed as owner Antonio saw during check in. Discovered that evening "king size bed" was just a big bed surround with rusted metal hinges on the inside, in which was plonked a double slat base with very inferior thin mattress on it - this caused a very large gap between mattress and surround and we woke with backaches each day. Don't believe there are any king size beds, if so why weren't we given one as the other 2 apartments were unoccupied during our 3 night stay. Bathroom is modern but extremely cramped, knees press against vanity drawer handles when on the toilet. Only roll of toilet paper left was the one already on the holder. desk chair so wobbly it feels like its going to collapse. And the noise, we were on 3rd floor, F wing (which was appropriate given my rating and opinion), restaurant kitchens below in courtyard with staff yelling, constant pots banging, dishes clunking, empty bottles being disposed in bins, barking dogs, couples having domestics at 4.30am and right under flight path. Room serviced 48hrs later and another toilet roll left. Extremely glad to leave, but felt angry, ripped off and sleep deprived. Much better places to stay with owners who care and keen to please.

Quarto amplo e limpo.

Aspecto da entrada um tanto desleixado, porém quarto confortável, amplo e limpo. Não é bem um hotel (não tem uma recepção/recepcionista formal), ocupando parte do andar de um prédio. Fomos muito bem recepcionados. O café da manha é servido num estabelecimento ao lado (1 café, 1 suco, 1 brioche e nada mais). Localização excelente, ao lado da Estação Central de Nápoles e com acesso bem fácil (caminhando) para a parte mais histórica.

Royal Gismonda is in a large building with many other residences. Once inside, take the stairs or elevator to your left, and it will be on the 3rd floor. Antonio was kind and accommod, the room was clean and comfortable. They are not there all the time, and it would be very important to contact them with your arrival time for them to meet you.

Was disappointed at how long it took us to find the hotel. Very small signage outside and felt like quite a dodgy neighbourhood. Upon finally finding the hotel we got into the worlds smallest lift up to the 3rd floor. We rang the bell & attempted calling the hotel but after 10 minutes without response we left. We sat down for a drink as we were exhausted, at which point the manager called us back. We checked into the hotel, which was really lovely. A safe in the room would be a suggestion although the property seemed quite secure.

Really wonderful hotel room, especially for the price!! Our room had stairs and a color changing bathroom which was awesome. Front desk was empty most of the time but not a big deal. Hotel was directly across from the metro and restaurants and had great amenities. Little hard to find initially but great hotel!

The property is clean and updated. It is in a very quiet area of the building complex. The location is central for Naples plus the train station is right in the Piazza. There are many eating places nearby. The property has a lift that is very small but you need to expect that due to the age of the building and how it was retrofitted. The down side to this property is the services. We waited close to 2 hours for the owner/attendant to let us in to check in. We were not the only ones experiencing this issue as many times there were guests waiting outside the entrance sitting on the stairs waiting. The other issue we had was that there was NO identifying signage to indicate we were in the right place. If you want a decent place to stay this is it but don’t expect many service. Also, the breakfast component was not worth it.

La camera e il bagno perfetti, non c'è sala per colazione ma una cucinetta a disposizione; c'è la convenzione con una ottima pasticceria a pochi metri. Il vero punto vincente del B&B però è la collocazione vicinissima alla Stazione Centrale e alla metro. Tuttavia è tranquillissimo e anche la zona è piacevole e moderna; nessuna percezione di insicurezza.

Very Convenient and very Comfortable

Absolutely excellent. Perfect location for a base to travel and explore the area. I wouldn't go out wandering at night but its safe and a really comfortable stay. Would most definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We we’re only there less than 12hrs.. just needed for overnight to catch early flight. Fitted the bill for convenience to train and airport bus. Value for the money. Room was large and clean. Breakfast to boost. I would stay again .
