Madaket, Nantucket: 3BR House, early August, Walk To Beach!

Available one or two weeks, Saturday to Saturday, in August, the best part of the summer. Warm weather, warm water, excellent surf!

This relaxing cottage has an open floor plan connecting the kitchen, kitchen bar, dining room, and the living room, which has a high ceiling and exposed stone chimney. A spacious deck with outdoor shower and wrap-around bench is just through a sliding door from the living room. High wooden ceilings throughout most of the house. The master bedroom has a queen bed (photo #7), its own slider to the deck (the slider on the left in photo #1), and its own 3/4 bath in addition to the full hall bath. The second bedroom (photo #4) is as big as the master bedroom, and has 2 twin beds which can be placed together or apart. (It's in a wing of the house projecting off the back, not visible in photo #1!) A third, small bedroom sleeps 4 in two bunkbeds. The living room also has a sofabed.

The home is set back from the quiet road by a long driveway. A half-mile walk or drive takes you to Madaket Public Beach, or to the beautiful and much less crowded private Tristrams beach by Starbuck Rd.!

Amenities: deck/porch/patio, BBQ-grill, outdoor shower, washer&dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, full kitchen supplies, linens included, cable TV, wifi internet, fireplace. Handicap accessibility: all on one level, one 9-inch step up from ground. Property management and other services are available via Tristrams Landing office. No smoking and no pets; sorry but these are non-negotiable due to our agreements with co-owners!
