Our property offers you "self check-in" with keyless entry, so that there is no need for personal contact during your stay at Rathtrevor Beach Retreat. The large green space through the garden doors from the dining room affords you with a beautiful and sizable outdoor area to enjoy, making it easy to enjoy a generous green space and the sounds of the forest. Our professional cleaning team uses CDC and EPA approved industrial-strength disinfectants with a broad spectrum kill claim that effectively disinfects all hard surfaces. All bedding and linens are washed in the warmest water possible. Guests who plan to work during their stay will be pleased to know that the Wi-Fi is both fast and unlimited. Should you be interested in a longer stay, please send us an inquiry as we are offering a special discount for a 30-day stay in September.

About our property:
Welcome to our home away from home main level 1200 square foot luxury townhouse bordering Rathtrevor Provincial Park (featuring hectares of old growth forest and miles of trails to explore, an incredible ever-changing beach). This property features quality furniture, well stocked kitchen cabinets/drawers, and high quality linens. We just know you are going to enjoy the west coast, mid century aesthetic of this vacation home, and love creating great snacks and memorable meals in the gourmet-style kitchen. Our home features extremely comfortable beds (1 King, 1 Queen, and 1 Double) and high quality linens and towels. Garden doors open up to a large tiled patio and green space bordered by evergreen and arbutus trees. Lounge in our high end comfy outdoor sectional furniture where you can catch a glimpse through the trees of the ocean waters of Craig Bay and the Straight of Georgia. Stunning Rathtrevor Beach, one of the warmest places to swim on the Island, is a short 3 minute walk down the road on the Tanglewood property. Enjoy miles of beautiful sand and shallow tide pools, offering a delightful warm water playground and beach combing experience for "kids" of all ages. You'll find a multitude of recreational opportunities just a short walk away, including tennis, mini-golf, restaurants, spas, swimming pools, miles of hiking and biking trails, gyms, shopping, whale watching tours, and more. For even more ideas of where to go and what to see, there's a very helpful Visitor Centre close by.

More about your vacation accommodation: Pamper yourself in the sizeable bathrooms with in-floor heating, tiled counters and showers, including a deep soaker bathtub in the master suite. We're pleased to provide locally sourced all-natural shampoo and body wash, as well as ultra-soft waffle weave cotton robes (2). Create your favourite meals in the full-size gourmet kitchen complete with granite counters, island/bar, and brand new stainless steel appliances (Electrolux fridge with water/ice maker, KitchenAid induction cook-top with convection oven and microwave). Dine and relax in a beautiful park-like setting on the ocean-facing outdoor patio, complete with natural gas BBQ (new Weber in 2025), dining table for 6 and luxurious outdoor furniture. Watch your favourite shows on our new 50" TV or surf online in the comfy living room featuring gleaming hardwood floors, leather furniture, 9-foot ceilings, and gas fireplace. Wifi Internet, TV, puzzles, games, and a few select novels; as well as a new LG laundry tower/hair dryer are provided for your convenience. Pack up our collapsible wagon with provided adult and child-sized lawn chairs and beach towels (kids' sand toys too!) and head to Rathtrevor beach, a short walk down the property's paved road (slight decline). Beach Acres Resort offers a drop-in rate for guests who want to use their indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. Visit their office for more information.

We had a wonderful time staying at Carol and Terry’s place. The rooms were very comfortable and the unit fit our party of six (three generations) perfectly. We loved the green space outside for the kids to play and the adults to lounge. The kitchen and BBQ were gourmet. The beach access was easy and so close. Thanks for a great holiday!

Condo was immaculate and wonderfully located at one of our favourite spots on Vancouver Island. Wonderful walks, great weather, outstanding pubs, restaurants and bistros. Great shopping close by and a kitchen that was fully equipped and great appliances for home cooking and or barbecuing on scenic patio! We all felt very lucky to have found such a treasure and look forward to returning.

Close walking access to the beach. Lots of local hiking in the area. Property clean and well equipped! Disappointed that there is not actual pool or hot tub access as indicated in the listing. There is an option at a neighboring resort complex but you must pay a drop in fee. I would suggest the listing be updated to reflect this in order to limit disappointment for families.

We stayed in this modern clean retreat home that was very spacious for six adults and one child. Very well equipped with plenty of everything. Carol was extremely helpful and answered quickly if we didn’t understand something. The beach was cool at low tide and walked out for a long ways. Lots of stuff to see and visit close by. What a beautiful place to stay! The property is modern, clean, well-stocked and feels luxurious. The location is fabulous - we appreciated the proximity of the forest that borders the property. Although the beach was close, to our surprise the grassy area right out back was a huge hit with our kids - a real bonus for families. We would certainly recommend this place to others and would definitely return.

I would give 11 out of 10 for our experience. The place was well equipped and we can tell that the host put a lot of thoughts to give the guests their best experience. We have stayed in a number of vacation homes in Parksville and this stands out to be the best. Location is within few minutes walk to the beach. Carol was very kind and took the time in answering all our questions.

The unit is stylishly decorated with original pieces and local artwork. It is immaculately clean, well stocked and maintained. The attention to detail is exceptional. Every need has been anticipated and provided for, including custom handmade soap, and gear for the beach. Responsive, generous hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and that enjoyment. Very elegant property with a view to a huge yard that made meals very relaxing. Very well stocked, there was everything we needed for 4 adults, games, magazines, plenty of towels, beach stuff, utensils, kitchen stuff, you name it. Super close to the beach, its among the best properties in the Tanglewood. I would definitely want to stay here again. Everyone in my family of 4 adults enjoyed it.

This vacation home was perfect for our family vacation. The apartment is one of the best equipped vacation homes we stayed at, with high end amenities, an impressive selection of spices and kitchen utensils, and much more. It was spot clean and the decor was beautiful. The location is very convenient, only steps away from Rathtrevor Beach. Beach chairs, a wagon, sand toys, and much more are provided by the hosts and made the beach stay even more fun. Carol was a wonderful host and we would definitely stay at her vacation home again.

Everything was amazing! Our trip to Vancouver Island was everything our family needed for spring break. Carol was super helpful from booking to check out and the Tanglewood property was a piece of beachside paradise! The condo is perfect, well organized with amenities of home and comfortable! Beds were comfiest I have slept in which was needed after spending 4 days beachcombing and exploring the oceanside. It was hard to leave but we will return for sure! Thank you Carol - top notch!!

The beach was great, the accommodations were beyond expectations (absolutely everything was there to make our stay great) and I would definitely recommend this place to everybody.
