"Amazing hotel, felt more like 4 stars than 3. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. We were upgraded to one of the bungalows close to the pool and the room was absolutely beautiful, only small negative was that the mattress was very hard. But that seems to be the norm on koh samui. "The Rock was a beautiful place. Staff was amazing and the place itself is beautiful. We stayed in the ocean front villa, which is actually three separate “rooms”. A kitchen - stove, fridge, toaster and toaster oven, kettle, etc, with place to sit to eat and a toilet. Then two separate suites for sleeping etc. We were two couples, so perfect for us. Pool is amazing and there’s a nice shady room right off the pool to get out of the sun. Beach is pretty, but not a swimming beach. When the tide...

"We loved this hotel. Especially, staying at one of the private villas. Highly recommend the villas, they come with your own private pool (with complete privacy) and they offer a lot more than a hotel room. The spa was also amazing and their breakfast on the beach is just beautiful and so relaxing. We didn't mind the whole "fight" theme (room has all the boxing equipment etc) but the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was magical. Highly recommend it!"

"Ein sehr sehr hilfsbereites und aufmerksames Personal vom niedrigsten bis zum höchsten Angestellten. Man muss es erlebt haben - sonst kann man sich das gar nicht vorstellen! Die ganze Anlage ist auf die Gäste ausgerichtet, als ob täglich überlegt wird, was kann noch verbessert werden. Schade, dass wir schon wieder ein anderes Hotel besuchen. "

"This is a unique experience. It’s truly a beautiful place. Perhaps 8-10 other guests while we were there. We only spent time in the room to sleep. When we weren’t out on excursions we were sitting at the beautiful infinity pool with the most incredible view. Staff are super genuine and kind though a little young and inexperienced. Check in and check out needs some improvement. Beware of the very steep driveway. I would not try to do that at night without seeing it first in daylight and I drive...

"This is a wonderful boutique hotel set on a gorgeous sandy beach. The gardens and pool are beautiful. It’s a very quiet relaxing place with very friendly, helpful staff. There are two kayaks and a paddleboard available free of charge. There is a hotel spa that offers massages on the beach and also a massage place on the beach next to the hotel. The hotel restaurant is very good. For more choice, the Intercontinental Hotel is next door and there are a couple of restaurants just a short walk...

"Quiet, clean little haven for our short visit to samui. Check in was easy and staff accomadated a request for extra pillows with no fuss and a smile. We would stay again, good price for the location."

"I have stayed here twice and would stay again. Away from busy tourist areas but nice peaceful garden setting with individual cabanas. Across the (moderately busy) street from the beach but was no issue during the low season getting across. "

"Für uns ein Zurückkommen in eine schönes Ferienparadies auf Samui. Sehr ruhiger und angenehmer Aufenthalt. Die Anlage ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber es wird fleissig am Werterhalt gearbeitet. Ist für uns klar weiter zu empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder"

"Everything was great, a little dated, but not dramatically. Beautiful gardens everywhere adding privacy. Biggest issue was there are loads of stairs which could be an issue for older travellers like us!"

"This is my go to hotel to stay at when visiting. The staff is very kind and the rooms are nothing impressive but are nice and the AC works great. They have a very nice little pool and the beach access is very convenient."
