A Tranquil Retreat Loaded With Ambiance - A TRUE Escape from the Hustle & Bustle

This is truly a peaceful and tranquil escape. This property will not disappoint if you’re looking for a cozy place to relax, reconnect, rejuvenate, and restore! The home is surrounded by big pine trees and small creeks. Its located 10 miles outside the city limits of Nacogdoches & 6 miles from Lake Sam Rayburn. This area is completely off the beaten path and offers pure serenity. Boat and ATV parking is available onsite. Come and enjoy your coffee/cocktails on a big cozy front porch. This is a new property built in 2021. The owner’s suite, a full bath, kitchen, washer/dryer, and main living area are all located on the first floor. Upstairs is a large loft area with additional living space, big screen TV, 2nd bath and two bedrooms. We also have four oversized couches that can be converted into 4 additional single sleepers.

Camp LaVie is a great place for big family/friend gatherings, cozy couple’s retreats, family reunions and memorable fishing and family trips. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities of home. There is plenty of space to spread out and office space upstairs for your zoom or teams’ meetings. Guest have full access to the entire home.

Cabin Fun

This is the cutest little cabin in the woods, it’s peaceful and so tranquil. The owners were so sweet and accommodating, she checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed and it was all to our liking, which it absolutely was! It was such a great time, we can’t wait to go back and do some more Texas Fishing!! :)
We brought the boat and family down for some Texas Fishing!

Awesome property

This property is adorable! So warm and welcoming! It was beautifully decorated for Christmas!! The outdoor area was lovely and provided the “get out of town” feel we were hoping for. Definitely exceeded our expectations!

Country Getaway

We had a family Christmas weekend of playing games, exchanging gifts, and lots of eating. The place was very clean with large bathrooms and ample parking as we had 6 vehicles. We spent our time indoors because of the weather but the outside looked so inviting. We drove to Nacogdoches and it wasn’t a long commute. I would highly recommend this place.

TOP NOTCH GETAWAY

If you don’t need the city, this is a great spot to relax and rest. My best friend and I absolutely loved it. The hosts did a fantastic job of outfitting and decorating the place. Lots of room inside and out. Quiet, private. And it was so clean. We have no complaints. If you plan to cook a big meal though, you might want to bring some kitchen items.

Great for our Family Gathering!

Great house for our family to all be in one location during the weekend of my mother's memorial service. We had adults and kids and this was perfect for us to be together! Pam was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Camp LaVie! The hosts provided a smooth check in and even checked on us during our stay! Everything was absolutely perfect for our trip with friends. The facility was clean and the so well maintained. We loved all of the well thought out details. Thank you, for making sure our trip back to Nac for our daughter was a memorable time! Your place is so beautiful!

Excellent Barndo in the country

We really enjoyed our stay. Home was nicely equipped and decorated, The living room furniture was not comfortable to sit on. Wi-Fi was very slow. When cold front came through with heavy wind and rain some decorations blew off of porch. Other than that the VRBO was excellent.

Great getaway!

We stayed here for a ladies weekend. Great secluded setting. Very cozy and relaxing. Beautiful facility close enough to Nacogdoches for an outing of shopping downtown.

Wonderful Property to Get Away From It All

We met friends for a football-watching and catching-up weekend. This was the perfect place to do that! It is exactly as advertised! The communication with the host was great! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to this property!

It was a very nice property. The only criticism is that smell of the water made it hard to wash clothes. Instructions we left to run the water due to the well, but that didn’t work for the washing machine.

Hidden Gem in the Country

Very charming, beautifully decorated home. Out in the country so very quiet and relaxing. My family and I had such an enjoyable weekend. Kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, dishes, etc. .. Loved the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers. 5 🌟 stars!!

Very clean with ample amenities. Our host, Pamela, was responsive to our additional contacts after we arrived. Whoever cleaned the place before we arrived is a Cleaning Ninja. We have a few nits to pick. The main one is we discovered a camera aimed at the front porch, which belies the VRBO advertising claim of complete privacy. It wasn't hidden, but it wasn't obvious like fake cameras usually are. There was also a Ring doorbell, presumably with a camera and microphone by the front door. Although we didn't do anything to have shamed ourselves, the presence of monitoring devices is, again, contrary to a feeling of having privacy. We can understand the need for security monitoring, but perhaps the hosts should give a written assurance they are inactive when guests are present, or give guests an option to disable it. A short first step on the stairway inside contributed to my brother falling on the umbrella stand. Luckily, he wasn't injured too badly. The "creek" that's advertised was a stagnant pond. I don't recall the specific wording of the ad. Again, this isn't a big deal, but my brother felt misled and asked me to mention it in my review. He also complained about no place to hang clothes in the upstairs bedrooms. I think the checkout time of 10 AM is way too early for people on a holiday or vacation. I had to go to bed early on our last night so I'd have time to sleep enough and get ready to leave in the AM. Noon would be far more convenient to all of your guests. I will be looking at checkout times in my future VRBO rentals and consider whether that's a deal-breaker. We did have cel service and a decent internet via the Wi-Fi, even though we were warned that might be spotty.

Relaxing getaway

We had a great weekend in Nacogdoches! We intended to take our boat out but had issues with the battery. So, we enjoyed just hanging out at the house and relaxing. It was very quiet outside and the weather was perfect. Everything we needed was provided. The house was perfect and comfortable!

We loved the location and amenities. GPS does not take you to the correct location, so make sure to follow the host's instructions so you don't get turned around.
