"The beds were for children only and not suitable for adults. There was no outside furniture to sit on or to eat. There were no curtains for privacy, no cleaning materials for dishes or spills. No coffee maker or dishes etc. The outside had not seen a lawn mower once this year. This was listed as a vrbo but is actually an arnb as the owner lives above the rental with access to the unit. Very disappointed with this listing.....this was NOT a vacation rental but more like an empty apartment...

"We stayed at the Lakehouse for 12 days. The property is clean, beautiful and the lake is really nice. There are grocery stores, pharmacy, pizza, etc. in town. We went to the local Farmer’s market, trailway trail, Martinique beach, got a massage in town, made friends. Everything we needed was provided at the Lakehouse. We asked for instructions on how to lock the front door and Ms. Kim quickly responded to all our questions. It’ll be a good idea to have these instructions in the welcome...

"This clean neat and comfortable space provided a place to sleep but not much room to relax except on the bed. The tiny kitchen area allowed us to cook some meals. The shower was large enough to accommodate my tall husband. The air conditioner is noisy and has the duct going up the outside wall on the room. Not having a window was a bit of an adjustment. It was a place to rest our heads. "

"We came to Halifax for a little get away. So the kids could swim and go fishing, and that is exactly what they did. The water front was perfect, kayaks available (2, with life jackets), paddle boat (needs new steering but it worked ok). The closed in sun room (needs better ventilation, and maybe a propane fire table to complete the setting). The add in itself was a bit mis leading. "It was a great spot"

"We loved staying here. The unit is located right at the ocean’s edge, with a view out the kitchen window of an active fishing harbour. It was fantastic. The host was brilliant, in every way: welcoming and quick to respond to questions. We would happily stay again, and recommend it strongly."

"My wife and I needed a place to stay as I was attending a conference at Cole Harbour High School and this suited us perfectly!The rental was clean and in a quiet area while being extremely well located to amenities (four minute drive to Mic Mac Mall, 11 minutes to Costco, 20 minutes to downtown Halifax in rush hour traffic).Communication with the host was top notch and I felt like I would have no issue getting into contact if there were any issues.Excellent stay!"
