It was a bit freaky to get the key since it was a brick wall you had to go into but it ended up not going anywhere and just had a bunch of keys and also it’s closer to the train station than posted but honestly you can walk the city walls into the city centre which is only 10 mins away. "Nice hotel in the centre of a fab little city"

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking but a little tight. Breakfast with a small fee was excellent. Sink and refrigerator were nice. 2 free water bottles. 10-15 minutes from city center. The room in the loft was not good at all. The ceiling on some parts were so short so I hit my head twice. No window. Only one small skylight"

Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. "The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York."

"Ideally situated for town centre, upon arrival got shown all facilities/room, lovely breakfast staff very polite/helpful, room had everything you needed and quiet Cameron went above and beyond when we arrived explained that we had car issues and that we would sort it next day ( he said let him know if anything could do), after contacting RAC next day we had to wait approx 5.5hrs, Cameron told us we could wait in lounge/garden where he kept checking upon us and checking if he could do anything...

We had a lovely, clean room, where it was nice and quiet and we enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Air con was amazing here over the hot weather too. The hotel is also very reasonable for the price and very walkable into the heart of the city too. Would highly recommend. Thank you."
