The place was spacious, tastefully decorated and well appointed. The location was unbelievable, walkable to lots of good restaurants, cafes and local attractions. Will definitely stay there again if we’re back in Madrid. Highly recommend it!!!

There is a lot to like about this hotel. It is in a great location, with beautiful design, quality amenities (including Aesop toiletries) and an excellent spa and steam room. Unfortunately, the service falls short of the standard the surroundings suggest. At times, the hotel feels as though it is being run by a management team with limited experience in operating a four- or five-star property. A few things stood out: Staff and service: Staff often seemed unsure of their roles, and there was a general lack of warmth and genuine hospitality. Communication: There was little explanation of the hotel’s facilities on arrival, including where to find breakfast or the pool. Complimentary yoga was available, but you would hardly know it from the confusing signage in the lift. Housekeeping: My room had not been serviced by 5:30 pm on one occasion, and I had to call to request it. The receptionist was rude and made me feel as though asking for this basic service was unreasonable. Bar service: Staff at the bar made guests feel like unwelcome drop-ins rather than paying customers. Overall, this hotel has a great location, beautiful design and real potential. However, good facilities alone do not make a great hotel. The lack of attentive, welcoming service and effective management lets it down. With better staff training and a stronger service culture, it could be an exceptional property.
