"We had a wonderful experience at Susan and Greg’s cabin on Upper Chateaugay Lake. The sunsets were as good as advertised, and the mountain and lake themed decor was absolutely conducive to a soothing, rustic experience. "Beth and Chris were incredibly welcoming and friendly hosts. We stayed here with our dog and were surprised when we arrived to find that the cabin was far more spacious than it had appeared in the photos. Pretty much everything we could need was provided for us, including laundry supplies, a dish sponge, various cooking utensils, plenty of towels, and a collection of interesting books and fun board games. "We stayed here as our son was competing in the Lake Placid Ironman. This location was perfect. Short drive to Lake Placid. The property was exactly as described and even better in person. It's cute and cozy. The Jay area is beautiful and would love to come back and hike in the area, as the cabin is close to many trail heads(short drive, under 15 minutes) Shannon's communication was outstanding! I had questions regarding the property as well as requested recommendations for restaurant's. ...

"We found this property to be perfect for our group of four adults and a four year old. It would have easily accommodated more. It was quiet when we needed quiet and close to everything we wanted to do. The hostess was absolutely lovely and everything met or exceeded our expectations!I would highly recommend this property if you have any cause to be in the area!"

"The house is charmingly decorated in cabin style and appears to have been recently updated. Many of the appliances seemed new and they all worked well. Furnishings were comfortable, and the laundry and kitchen were all well supplied with the items we needed. Being able to use the kayaks to explore the Narrows was really special! The hosts were helpful and responded to our few questions promptly. This is a beautiful area, and a really comfortable base to explore it from. "

"Great cabin, very responsive and kind hosts, great location. We stayed for a long weekend with two little kids- great location for hiking and sight seeing. The kids loved the hot tub and loft area. The only suggestion I would have for families with kids is to bring a gate, the stairs are steep. Otherwise we had a great time. Will definitely re-book!"

"Loved the house, the area and the lake. House is as described, lake is lovely, tons of things to do just at the house and almost hard to leave and explore the area! Our families threw a dart at the map this year for our vacation and we ended up with one of the best trips we’ve had in a long time. Indian and Mountain View Lakes are hidden gems in the Adirondacks and the house is full of history and tradition. Thanks to the owners for sharing this house! "
