  • Welcome to The Village Retreat, a contemporary lake chalet in The Village at Mayfield Lake marina.

    The space:
    The Village Retreat is the ultimate lake escape. Located in The Village community of Mayfield Lake in Mossyrock, Washington, halfway from Seattle and Portland, surrounded by Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. Mossyrock is coveted by outdoors enthusiasts, surrounded by lakes, rivers, and trails for hiking, biking, off-roading, fishing, boating, and more!

    Experience the great outdoors in luxury! Vaulted ceilings and panoramic windows provide stunning lake views from this three-level, open-concept house. The home has everything you'll need for dining and entertaining from barware, dinnerware and utensils to cookware and cleaning supplies. Coffee, tea, and Breville espresso station including locally-sourced teas and coffees. The main level includes two bedrooms with queen beds, one bathroom with shower and tub, an open kitchen/dining room with desk space, and an open living room. The third floor features a primary bedroom and open loft seating area with a record player, Nintendo and smart TV. The primary bedroom features a king bed, walk-in closet, and en suite bathroom with a shower. Each bedroom is outfitted in Pendleton bedding with organic cotton linens. The bottom level is an open concept conditioned garage space with a a casual seating area, fourth bedroom, bathroom, extra refrigerator, ping pong table, and washer and dryer.

    The Village Retreat is located within minutes of the lake and marina. The local marina offers daily and hourly rentals for outdoor equipment including canoes, kayaks, and boats. Located within five miles of two public boat launches. Plenty of parking on-site with room for a small RV or boat.

    About the community:
    The Village is a private community on Mayfield Lake featuring a local marina, boat launch, and private resort. The community is vibrant and lively in the summer months and peaceful and relaxing in the fall, summer and spring.

We loved this place! We were in town for a wedding and a group of us stayed at the house together. It was the perfect place! So many additional amenities included in the kitchen and bathrooms. The house was super clean, and the kids loved the games and hangout space downstairs. Beautiful views and neighborhood. Definitely would come back as it was one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed at!

Christie is THE BEST HOST EVER!! The beautiful accommodations are amazing! Exceptionally clean with special amenities, including toiletries and little snacks. We also arrived to find 2 fresh cut flower arrangements! Great communication with Christie. You feel the care and love she has put into every aspect of this amazing home! Thank you!!

Wonderful Rental

We were a group of 7 family members. The amenities exceeded any other place I’ve been. The owners were available and accommodating. I have to say that this is one of the best rental properties I’ve stayed at. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.

Paradise at Mayfield Lake

Absolutely hands down the most perfect home to relax and enjoy the views of Mayfield Lake. The house is perfectly appointed with everything you could possibly want to instantly feel like home. Extremely clean and comfortable! We didn’t want to leave this beautiful home!

We highly recommend this beautiful place

The house was beautiful inside and out. Perfect for 8 people. Quiet neighborhood with activities to do in the water if you choose. The hosts were so attentive. All the beds were super comfortable and the house was clean and provided everything you needed for a comfortable relaxing stay. We all would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Another Amazing Stay!!

Another amazing stay at the most beautiful house with a view at Mayfield Lake! The care and thought that Christie (host) put into preparing for our stay was impressive! Amenities were plentiful, including a generous gift basket of delicious treats and snacks. The view and comfort of this well appointed home made it a fabulous retreat for our family!

Had an awesome time! Kids were never bored with ping pong, video games, fire pit and the lake so close. The home has everything you can imagine, even an espresso machine! The only thing that might be an issue for some are going up and down the stairs and walking to and from the marina, but we chalked it up to good excercise.

This property is a "10" for sure! The house was everything it advertised. The host even left us a wonderful welcome basket with coffee and some treats! I would definitely choose this house again!!

Little piece of paradise

We chosen this beautiful A-frame house for our traditional summer lake vacation with family and friends. Our adult kids enjoyed the ping pong table, the kayaks, the paddle boards, the space in the game room. We hiked to the Dog Mountain. We did bbq and enjoyed the view from deck. The neighbors were nice, the area is clean and well kept. No enough space to describe how spoiling is the kitchen. We were in awe. Huge thanks to the owners, they made our experience truly relaxing and memorable.

A new standard has been set! This place is amazing! Everything was super clean and comfortable. The views are wonderful and the upper deck is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and take it all in! The fully fenced yard was perfect for our dogs! There were so many little things that were completely above and beyond expectations…from loads of outdoor toys to enjoy, to the neat custom decor inside, to a coffee and tea caddy that beats any swanky hotel set up! The location is perfect to experience a huge range of outdoor wonders…if you can get your group to want to leave the house! The hosts were great…they sent a lot of super helpful info about the area before our trip to help us plan and they clearly maintain this property as if they will be spending their next vacation there! All around the best VRBO at which I’ve ever stayed!

Beautiful home with many thoughtful touches throughout!

The village retreat is a beautiful home with very thoughtful amenities. The welcome basket was full of goodies and a great start to the stay. This is a great place to stay for families with tweens and teens as we had ample usage of the ping pong table, croquet set, chess set, and fire pit. The coffee/tea set up is amazing with an easy to use espresso machine and drip coffee maker as well as an electric kettle with many tea varieties. Lots of upscale touches in the house including Pendleton linens and the like. Small inconveniences include only having seating for six at the dining table and a shortage of seating in the main living area, but this can be remedied by moving some chairs around. Overall the Village Retreat is an amazing place to stay!
