A pileated woodpecker visited the adjacent woods in the morning. The cabin's creaky floorboards let you imagine the generations that have enjoyed themselves here. "This was on of the nicest places my wife and I have stayed. The cabin was very clean, and the view of the lake was amazing. My wife loved the sunsets and listening to the frogs at night. I had some good success fishing off the dock. Great getaway for us, and I highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a quiet weekend of relaxation. for a quei"

"it was a really nice place, it was really clean and spacious, and they had a lot provided which was nice, overall there was good communication but there were some things I feel like Should have been communicated a lot sooner, there was also alot of seaweed by the dock so we couldn’t really go swimming, but overall I had a really great time!!"

"This place offers the bare minimum to guests and feels depressing. It technically has all the things it says, but the air conditioning is on the porch and not the bedroom or main area of the house, the kitchen exists but isn’t stocked enough to cook in, and the kayaks are there but you have to walk through 10 feet of mud to get in the lake. It’s on a main road and is loud. It’s not peaceful, so we complained about all of these things and left after one hour. It was worth going to a better place...

"Overall a great stay, the check in and out process could be more clear and probably more convenient for owners with guidelines written down on site vs having to contact them. We had the smoke alarm go off and that was a bit chaotic, and we never were able to connect to WiFi but honestly that was okay - better to be present! Loved the rooms and styling!"

"We stayed here for a long weekend with our 3-year-old and had a really nice time! Property was clean and comfortable, and the location was peaceful and quiet. We spent a lot of time just hanging out looking at the lake, canoeing, and attempting to fish off the dock. We really liked all the birds and wildlife to see right there on the property. Kitchen had all the basic gear you'd expect, although you'll want to bring your own spices, oils, etc. "

"Great location, great spot, fantastic family home. We stayed here with our adult children, amazingly decorated, kitchen had fantastic cooking utensils, pots, and pans. Small touches like the charging station, water and coffee to get you started till to run to the store . Great water pressure in shower , nice large dinning table for family board games .. close to the city and the cute excelsior neighbor.
