Overall, the staff was welcoming. Please do more than consider giving the older gentleman on the hotel’s cleaning staff a significant pay increase, as he was exceptionally kind to pause his vacuuming and offer assistance in carrying my bags downstairs. The facility was fairly nice and clean. However, the shower floor was discolored. I could hear room doors slamming closed.
The website and app says the hotel has a late check-out time at 2:00 p.m. as part of the membership benefits. To my surprise, that was not the case. Staff kept knocking at my door before 11 a.m. to clean the room. I mentioned the ‘late’ check-out time I was supposed to have, but they said they were unaware of this and that check-out was at 11 a.m. I then called the front desk to inquire about the check-out time, at which point I was told that there was no way it could be 2:00 p.m., as they had other guests scheduled to check in at 3:00 p.m. and the staff needed time to clean and prepare the room. I asked if there was a manager on site to confirm this. They said no.
I asked if the policy had changed or if they had access to the hotel website or app. The employee said that they did not and could not access the hotel website or information regarding this. The dismissal of the issue was blatant. This was a very big inconvenience for me. The late check-out time was the reason I booked the reservation online.
