"The house was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well enough equipped for our cooking needs. Unfortunately the weather was not super dry so we couldn't use the grill as we planned. Neither of us were crazy about the sprial staircase. However we put up with it since we wanted to sleep upstairs in the king bed. Overall it was a wonderful house and we will stay again when we are in the area."

"It was a very peaceful and relaxing get away for me. the young man who does maintenance was very helpful and the people in the Muddy Pond community are the nicest people. "

"The cabin was rustic and charming, and had a great back porch with rockers & a swing overlooking the pond. We enjoyed the dock and fishing in the big pond. It was nice to float around the pond in the aluminum boat. We saw several wildlife. The cabin and area was quiet and peaceful."

"We were pleased with the amount of space available, the cleanliness, and all of the items stocked in the kitchen. The screened-in porch was perfect for reading and listening to all the creatures around. We were pleasantly surprised with the campground’s fireworks display on the 4th and the sunset pavilion was perfect for photos!"

"The home was newly renovated and the host did an excellent job creating a modern farmhouse design. Gary (our host) supplied us with everything we needed to have an awesome experience including coffee, spices, water, firewood, detergent, soaps, etc. We enjoyed the hot tub and made a huge bonfire. If we ever come back we would definitely stay there again! "

"It was a charming cottage . Comfy seating , comfy beds . Great screened back porch . Well and thoughtfully equipped. I particularly loved the bubble bath left for use in the claw foot tub. If you have any reason to stay in Cookeville , this is your place ! "

"Carol was very attentive via messages. Calfkiller Cottage was comfortable very quiet and well appointed. We were visiting family who lived 1.2 miles away so the location suited us well. Great shower with great water pressure. We would stay there again. "

"Lovely property. The farm, sauna and cold plunge were a nice surprises. Owner Jeff was wonderful letting the kids feed the animals and including a goat walk. Every morning they looked forward to finding eggs. Our granddaughter asked if we could make this a tradition every year. Thank you!"

"We only had time for a one night stay while we attended a wedding. The cabin was super clean and decorated so cute. Wish we would have had more time! Would absolutely stay here again! "

"What a fantastic weekend getaway! The cabin was so charming, and the hosts were incredible, Rachel and Steph gave us so many wonderful recommendations. The town was filled with friendly locals and AMAZING RESTAURANTS! Spent the weekend chasing waterfalls during the day and spent the evenings dancing around the cabin to different records. We highly recommend this stay!! "

"The Haven was the perfect spot for our family reunion. There was plenty of sleeping space for all of us and having 4 and a half bathrooms was amazing!The floor plan is interesting, but it worked out great for us. The 2nd master suite is apparently part of an addition to the house. I think the “bunk room” used to be the garage and the 2nd master suite was the attic above it. It’s very nicely done with a sitting area outside the bedroom area with access to a full bathroom from both spaces. It was...
