The Space:
Find yourself in the middle of an olive grove at Olivo Nomade 2 by Tiny Away in Mompeo, just 1 hour and 15 minutes from Rome. Framed by fruit trees and open skies, this tiny house faces the distant villages and the peaks of Mount Terminillo. Walk to the piazza for coffee or visit Salisano, Poggio Mirteto, Abbazia di Farfa, Gole del Farfa, and Pozze del Diavolo.
A cozy 252-square-foot tiny house with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and electric-heated shower.
There are two mobile homes on the property. Olivo Nomade 1 is approximately 100 meters from the main house, while Olivo Nomade 2 is about 160 meters away. The properties are 40 meters apart from each other. Olivo Nomade 1 offers a panoramic view, and Olivo Nomade 2 offers a romantic olive grove.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny house and its surroundings, except for the land host's private residence.

Tucked into the rugged hills of Sabina, Olivo Nomade 2 by Tiny Away is in Mompeo—just 1 hour and 15 minutes from Rome—where olive trees are abundant. It’s a lively village with roots deep in tradition and a personality shaped by its land. Expect narrow streets, stone buildings that haven’t changed in decades, and locals who wave whether they know you or not.
From our mobile homes, you're just a short drive from local gems such as Gole del Farfa, Pozze del Diavolo, the historic Abbazia di Farfa, and the charming towns of Salisano and Poggio Mirteto. When it's time to eat, enjoy authentic Italian cuisine at La Locanda del Gufetto, a leisurely breakfast or aperitivo at Arocaro Café, or regional specialties at Osteria del Corso. For fresh bread, and pizza, stop by Alimentari Sabrina.
And even, take a short stroll to Mompeo, a picturesque medieval village with panoramic views, or explore the forest trails and riverside paths of nearby Salisano. If you're after a livelier atmosphere, Poggio Mirteto offers cafés, restaurants, and a vibrant Friday market.
Meanwhile, nature lovers can discover scenic hiking trails, hidden waterfalls, and refreshing natural pools throughout the Sabine Hills. Whether you're visiting Pozze del Diavolo, exploring the historic Farfa Abbey, or walking through the beautiful Farfa Gorges, there's no shortage of ways to enjoy the region's natural beauty.
Getting Around:
By Car:
- From Rome, it’s about a 1-hour drive (60 km).
- The nearest larger town, Poggio Mirteto, is 20 minutes away (20 km).
- The road is suitable for a standard 2WD vehicle.
By Public Transportation:
- Take a train from Rome to Poggio Mirteto Scalo.
- From there, catch a local bus to Mompeo (note: only three buses run daily).
- Mompeo village is a 5-minute walk from the accommodation.
If you plan to visit nearby towns, having a car is highly recommended. There’s no taxi service in the area, but the host can provide a ride to the train station for an additional cost.
By Flight:
- The nearest major airport is Rome Fiumicino (FCO), approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes by car.
- From the airport, you can either rent a car or take a train into Rome, then follow the public transportation route above.

Guest Advisory
- Pets are limited to one (1) per stay and require at least 24 hours' prior notice. Please note the area is not fenced and must be kept on a leash at all times. The full pet policy will be provided before arrival.

- Barbecues are not allowed during fire bans
- For stays of 5 nights or more (or for bookings of 5 nights or more), an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
