The best thing about the lodge is its proximity to Great Sand Dunes National Park. It is by far the lodging closest to the park. Scenery is gorgeous. There are very few dining options near the lodge. Pizza was available for purchase from the lodge office until 6 or 7pm.

A wonderful getaway!
This is a small town, that's quiet and quaint. It was wonderful to relax and enjoy the scenery. It had everything we needed. Very cozy and the hosts were great! Would highly recommend to others :) (Ask about the private chef - it was a really neat experience and the food was so yummy!)

We stayed 3 nights over Thanksgiving weekend. The cabin is warm and welcoming, and the property is beautiful with great rocks and views. The views are spectacular! Loved having the open space and area to walk around outside. It was very peaceful. The house is very simple, but perfect for the two of us.
