nice property

We had a good time at this property. The furniture was a bit soiled and the twin beds were not comfortable. If the furniture and beds were a bit updated that would be great. Also the water pressure in the master bath was very low. Overall nice unit.

Great spot with excellent view

It was a great place for a last minute quick weekend beach trip, so although we didn't get to take advantage of all of the ammenities offered, it was lots of fun!

Nice view but that’s it

The view was beautiful. The room was okay. It was outdated-there were lights burnt out, toilet paper holders were hanging off the wall, and there were outlets that were not covered with wires hanging out. The second day we were there, all but one elevator worked. The third day, no elevators worked. We were on the 17th floor. In order to go anywhere, we had to walk up and down 17 flights of stairs. I am pregnant along with 3 young children. As you can imagine, this was extremely difficult. The fourth day, they were able to get 1 elevator working but it only went to the 14th floor so we still had to walk up flights of stairs. I tried calling customer service-phones we’re down or nobody would call me back or even answer the phone. I also tried emailing and was told I would get a phone call. I finally got a call the night before we left. He gave us about $70 back but honestly, that wasn’t enough. We will never stay here again. I do not recommend this place.

Everything thing we imagined.

So much better than expected. The pictures does this condo no justice. Gorgeous view of the Gulf and perfect accommodations. We were on the 17th floor and never a wait on elevators. The condo was very clean and had all the amenities of home. 5 stars…

Needs WORK!

I have never written a negative review even if something was not good but THIS I could not pass on. The couch and pillows were GROSS!! Stained and not sure they have been changed out EVER? There were two small lights in the kitchen that worked one that didn’t although the cans were coming out of the ceiling. The twin beds literally were indented. The TVs are outdated 8 remotes only one worked and half did not have batteries. The view was spectacular and that is it! The amount of money we paid to stay was ridiculous for the lack of things provided. No beach towels, not even paper towels or dish towels. I would have been soooo upset if we would have brought our kids because the floor was cleaner than the furniture. This place needs a complete furniture overhaul along with mattresses!

I spent a lot of my time trying to get someone to come clean. It was dirty underwear, dirty socks, water bottles, trash in multiple locations. I feel the owner should compensate me a full day.

Yes & No

The property is directly on the beach. We've stayed here before and some of the amenities need updating. TVs are too small in all the rooms. Hard to play TV family games with such small TVs. Would be nice if the owner allowed any access things purchased to remain in the property. Kitchen lights need to be fixed as well as a couple lamps in the living room.

Looks are deceiving

Images online look great, actual real life not so much. The only reason this got a 2 stars is for the whole Sandestin resort, this unit is not much. Cons greatly outweighed the pros for this unit in Beachside II. Was disappointed in the room the second I walked in it as I was expecting something very nice (like the rest of the resort we experienced) but was left scratching my head all week as to why this room wasn't nicer; it's definitely there to make the owner some money and there are no funds being put back into the unit to keep it up. Not sure if we'll be back to Sandestin after this or not based off this unit. Pros: - Sandestin property - Baytowne Wharf, etc. - view, although 17th floor is plenty high - elevators were fairly fast and no long waits - closeness/convenience to beach & pool - floor plan w/ decent flooring Cons: - soiled furniture in living area - dirty, stained and just nasty so we ended up covering couch with a sheet so the kids would stay off it - needs window covering in front bedroom - lack of overall kitchen supplies - ALL 3 mattresses are old, worn out and uneven - lightbulbs missing in lamps - poor lighting in bedrooms & kitchen - 2 of 3 small lights over bar are hanging from the ceiling - outlet cover under desk in living room is missing; leaving outlet exposed - great with small kids in the room - ice maker in refrigerator does not work - sock under bed in front room; dirty q-tip behind master bedroom door

Great vacation!

This property has a beautiful view and great location. The kitchen is stocked and made cooking easy. There are a few “cosmetic issues” such as a torn curtain, outlet cover missing, and someone mounted the shower curtain in the guest bathroom incorrectly, etc., but nothing that will impact your stay! Would definitely stay again!

Great location

This condo had a beautiful view and was right on the beach! Everything was very clean, elevators were fast, and the resort was lovely. My one suggestion is to invest in some better lighting for the kitchen. We loved our time here!

Nice Location but lacks quality

Great view, easy access to the beach, great overall resort but condo is clearly a rental property and lacks quality. Master bed is fantastic and yes it does have granite countertops, past that it is furnished with "making money" in mind. Reported at check in the following: missing light bulbs, closet door not on tracks, missing outlet covers, refrigerator ice machine and water dispenser did not work, light fixtures not working, exposed wires on dining room light, ceiling lights hanging down. Nothing was fixed when reported except dining room light. Note was placed on closet door that washer and dryer were too big for closet door to go back on tracks(and they left it like that) Remotes did not work or were missing batteries, appliances had to be from original build, TV's maybe 32 inches and not HD. If they cared about the property it could be amazing but they are focused on rental revenue only. Clearly they don’t have a quality checklist in place for the property. Premium price but not a premium property. A little TLC would go a long way to making this a great property. The view is amazing but that is what you are really paying for. We were not impressed with the overall quality and lack of any responses to the issues reported.

Disappointing

View is only thing 5-star about this property. Kitchen is poorly stocked and lit, furniture is worn, although master bed ok, and the place has bugs, including a large regularly-visiting roach. Unless you are bringing everything (from hand soap to trash bags, to maybe even a cooking pot and dish towels), I would think twice. Disappointing for the price, and scary for the lack of health considerations in general throughout the property or state in a time when everyone should be cautious.

Very nice view and amazing beaches

The room was very nice. The view was spectacular as well. Loved that the condo had an ice machine on the first floor. Really made it easy to pack a cooler for the Beach. I didn't feel like the kitchen was stocked very well... But we made it work. Only 1 large coffee cup.. can opener was broken. Pots and pans... Were ok... I also thought I read there were towels for the bath and beach. But there were only 4 medium bath towels total... and some hand towels... So disappointed there... The resort is a lovely community. The access to the beach was very easy and close! Bring your own chairs to save $$$

Vacation home right on the beach

We loved our condo in Beachside II. Plenty of room for our teenage daughters and us to spread out. Adequate kitchen worked great for preparing part of our meals and kept us from having to eat every meal out. Private balcony overlooking the ocean was great for relaxing in the evenings. It was great to have our own laundry so we could wash our towels and dirty laundry. The beach is gorgeous and you can walk forever either direction. FYI, you have to pay to rent an umbrella and beach chairs or go to the store and purchase your own. My only complaint or suggestion would be for the property owner to provide simple things like liquid dish soap, paper towels, and extra garbage bags. It wasn’t a huge problem because we had our car and simply ran to Walmart to grab what we needed. People who fly in might have more difficulty. I would definitely recommend this property to others traveling as a couple, family, or group of friends!

Perfect condo perfect location!

This condo was perfect for our vacation. There were two adults and two children. The decor is simple and the beds and pillows were comfortable. We did not cook large meals in the condo but it was well equipped for breakfast and lunch. We did not use the sofa as a bed so I can not attest to its suitability. The location and of this condo could not have been more perfect and it's 17 th floor view is unbeatable. It's also bigger than I expected. I would definitely rent this unit again!!!
