"Cute and cozy and clean! We traveled from Topsail Island, NC for a family wedding in Sparta. Our dog loved it too! The host greeted us after the wedding and had a fire going for us to relax under the stars. The local diner for breakfast was great as well as the State Park for a hike. Wish we had more time...."

"This house was a great find! We were attending a wedding at Lake Hopatcong and instead of staying in a bunch of hotel rooms, we choose this home. Four spacious bedrooms, extra beds for additional guests and everything we needed to enjoy being together as a family. Having to travel from North Carolina, my husband and I had to work remotely one day during our stay. The bedrooms upstairs had nice desk space to accommodate private space for us to work. The view of the lake made the stay even more...

"Everything you might possibly need is there for you in the kitchen and bathroom. The beds and coverings were very comfortable. Apartment was very roomy and bright. We handled the stairs with no problem."

"We stayed here for 16 days in May 2025. We live locally, but we needed a place to stay while contractors repaired flood damage in our home. With everything going on at our own house, our nerves were pretty fried. Given our frazzled state, words fail to describe my gratitude for being able to stay at this home. The house is immaculate and extremely well-maintained. The gardens defy description. There were two acres of fenced-in yard for our dogs. The home and garden have several beautiful places...

"Overall our time spent at this home was great! It was the perfect place for all of our friends to meet up for labor day weekend and reconnect after some of us have moved away. The pond wasn't very swimmable - the water plants were so tall they were touching the surface/just beneath the surface from the bottom of the pond and it was quite shallow. Was fine for us to float on but again, not really swimmable. The home owner was quick to respond when the front door automatic lock wasnt working...

"Absolutely stunning home and property! We can’t find one negative thing to say about our stay. It was a pleasure to dealing withthe owners. They were accommodating, prompt in responding and overall amazing. We simply did not want to leave. Everything was wonderful, EXTREMELY clean, quiet, relaxing and beautiful. I wish I took more pictures but we didn’t to disconnect from our electronics and phones to enjoy quality time as a family and this house made it easy to do!! We can’t recommend this...

"Unfortunately this rental does not exist. My family and I had to find a place to stay on our own 3 days before my nieces wedding. Very unfair situation."

"Completely redone/new. We think it may have just been done, because there were sparse kitchenware. Enough for two, and we managed to cook, but definitely needs an upgrade as far as pots, pans, utensils and dishware. Keep in mind there is no yard, so if you bring pets plan on going to Hopatcong State Park (three minute drive) to walk them. Also, it’s on a hill and the dock and lake are only accessible by many steep steps. "

"This is a great house in a great location. We stayed there when we were in town for our daughter's wedding. It is a beautiful area. The house is well stocked with everything we needed. It is roomy and well decorated. We really enjoyed the eclectic art hung throughout the house "
