My stay at Hotel Mallorca was extremely disappointing. I arrived around 1:00 AM due to a delayed flight, and check‑in took roughly 30 minutes because the front desk staff did not speak English and relied entirely on a translation app. This created unnecessary delays and confusion at a time when efficient service should matter most.
The room I was given was outdated and poorly maintained. It had an old cathode‑ray‑tube television, worn towels, a leaking faucet, and non‑potable water. The bathroom lighting was inadequate, with only a single bulb above the sink and a dark shower area. The bed squeaked with every movement, and the walls were so thin that noise from the neighbouring room was clearly audible throughout the night.
The next morning, when I returned to pick up the key I had left at reception, I was abruptly told that my guest was not allowed in my room because my reservation listed only one occupant. This restriction was never communicated at booking or check‑in, and the way it was enforced — including being told he had to leave within minutes — felt unprofessional and unwelcoming.
Given the poor service, substandard room conditions, and the mishandling of guest policies, I chose to leave and secure another accommodation. I cannot recommend this property based on my experience.
