"They decided to put chemicals in the pool at noon on the weekend of Fourth of July. So the pool was unusable from noon till the next morning. That really was the only reason we were stopping midway between trips to give our kids a break. Why not put chemicals in overnight?? Then the pancake maker was broken the next morning. "Staff was great. Property needs some love ..a lot of rusted stuff around. There was a light smell of piss in the area where you first walk in. If they just invested some money and remodeled this would be an excellent Marriott property. Definitely bottom tier property for me but so grateful to be able to stay here last minute after I was booted out of my residence inn confirmed property two days before I arrived."

"This hotel is still under construction while the room we were given was clean and pretty nice. The bed was hard. The television did not work. We went to the office, but it was never fixed when we got there. We were charged $100 deposit and and it was not refunded that they said we smoked me and my boyfriend don’t even smoke. They kept our deposit refused to give it back so don’t stay at this hotel in Merrillville. There are many other nicer friendlier hotels in the area."

Another staff member came up and slammed a little plaque on the counter and said read it and weep. It stated that linens, dishes and a coffee maker are all available for purchase. There isn’t a coffee maker in the room but one is in the lobby. Signs are in the hallways posting quiet hours but there were still children...
