"A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"The bed and breakfast is Cowes was in a great location. It was easy to walk to town and parking for our vehicle was provided. The hosts were terrific - providing great recommendations for dinners and things to do. The breakfast was delicious and was a great start to our day. The hosts’ 2 dogs were so CUTE!"

We needed three rooms, and staff had arranged that they were three adjacent rooms, which was good. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very accommodating - we needed some breakfasts to take away for some of our party who were out running during breakfast service. "The hotel itself is looking a bit tired but our room was spotless and clean. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The buffet breakfast was hot and tasty. The location is amazing. Fantastic place to stay if u don't want to spend loads of time in the hotel."

"The outside looks a little tired We had a very warm welcome on arrival Check in was quick and easy We were shown to our room (10) the man made polite conversation. The room was a good size but very dated like staying at your grandma’s. The room was very clean, the towels were white, clean and soft. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. There is ample free parking. Overall a good stay for one night."

"Situated in the heart of Cowes right on the High Street. We stayed here one night to attend a family party. It was perfect for 1 night, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The Anchor is a lively, popular pub serving local beers and weekly live music. The room had some ear plugs provided but we didn't need them, a nice thought though."

"In general it was all good. Some of the carpets were a bit tired, the desk was sagging and there was no seat for the desk (the comfy chair was too small to use instead)."

"No door key as all digital, had to use phone which is ok but only gives access to 1 person. Shower temperature was luke warm at it's hottest, shower gel dispenser didn't work. Also the air-conditioning didn't work, had to use the fan instead. Room was noisy due to the adjacent pub."

"The rooms are not in the main building, they are what I can only describe as motel type rooms in a couple of blocks. We had a 1st floor room the window only opened an inch and there was no A/C, didn't get a lot of sleep at the weather therefore the room was baking hot. Lovely grounds to walk round and the breakfast was good in a really nice setting."
