Only small area for improvement would be the heating in the bedroom as the radiators never really warmed up so maybe in the colder months would be an issue. "This hotel is a perfect place to stay when you want to be in walking distance of the royal mile and Princes Street. There is also an indoor/outdoor mall attached to the hotel, including nice shops, dining, and an Everyman cinema. My only complaint was the parking. It looked as if it was included in the price of the hotel, but it was actually 48 pounds for a couple of nights."

"This is an old-fashioned but charming place to stay. It is well located for a quick walk to the sights, and close to bus stops. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a comfortable bar. Our room was spotless and spacious (room 8), with a great view to the Firth of Forth. The bed was comfortable and the linens were of excellent quality. We definitely recommend this accommodation."
