"Did not know what to expect upon arrival but was pleased to find our own little apartment in this very modern building … loved the kitchen and availability of the in unit laundry. Only complaint I could say is no hair dryer (4 girls) and one night there was an alarm prompting evacuation in the middle of the morning but all in all had a very enjoyable experience "

"We came to Des Moines for the wrestling state tournament. We were just a block and a half away from the skywalk to hop on and stay indoors the whole way to Wells Fargo Arena.This home was clean, easily accessed, and just what we needed for a short stay! Great communication with the owners :)"

"Easy to get to and from where we needed to be. Small but clean and met all the needs for sleeping except one part-basement included sleeping option for the couch but doesn’t work if you’re over 6 feet tall. We managed with that since it was a teenager. :) Overall we’re planning to stay again!"

"Great place, clean and in great spot for our activities. Yard needed maintenance and the upstairs ac was slow but eventually got nice. Three trash bags was not enough for five days let alone for 5 women, but we were happy with the property. Very pleased with the price."

"Hi there! I had a wonderful time in the room and got the much-needed rest I was looking for. The space was clean and minimalist(good thing). I do have a couple of suggestions: a coffee table would be a useful addition along with a wall clock, and it would be great if the rear entrance from the parking garage were more accessible. Also, I found navigating from the Star Trek spaceship walkways to the building a bit tricky. All in all, I'd definitely stay here again!"

"Comfortable, clean, and lovely apartment. It was perfect for our stay in Des Moines during a conference. We loved the history of the building and the updated amenities of the apartment. The owner was very attentive and responsive. "

"We had a fun time staying at this house. We visited downtown Des Moines and had a great time at Adventureland. The only suggestion would be to have some dish towels in the kitchen. The arcade games, ping pong table and skee-ball were popular with the kids. "

"We stayed here for the accessable to the Red Bull Soapbox race. Very happy with the parking across from the unit. Loved the outdoor sitting area. We were treated to fireworks on Friday night with a perfect view from the patio. Lots of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Unit had everything you need and was spotless! Jesse was a great host and the restaurant suggestions were spot on. We would stay again if in the area."

"The Babes loved EVERYTHING about the Love Shack. Tiffany is an amazing host and very easy to communicate with - so responsive to requests and questions! I think she is quite possibly the best VRBO host I’ve worked with. The property is inviting and just joyful. The neighborhood is lovely and safe! Next door neighbors even offered us candy and goodies! How fun is that?! Close to everything we wanted to see! Definitely would recommend. And Des Moines is a fantastic city!"
