Turtle Bottom luxury beachside villa

  • Turtle Bottom is an architect designed beachside villa with light, comfortable, modern, interiors on the beautiful south coast of Barbados. We rented through Home Away for five years prior to Covid and were consistently rated 5 stars. Turtle Bottom is now available again, it is ideally positioned in the centre of a white sand beach, steps away from the water, which is just through the gate in the white picket fence. The brick paved shared garden is fully enclosed, so it's perfect for children. Most of our guests say the photos can't convey the ambience and many don't even want to leave the house to explore our beautiful island, however there is so much to do. There are plenty of restaurants a short drive or bus ride away. Surfer's Cafe is a few minutes walk, opposite a large supermarket, gas station, pharmacy, and everything else that Oistins has to offer, is just beyond that.
    We offer complimentary airport transfers.
    The villa is divided into two and our section comprises the entire ground floor, the garden is shared but rarely used by upstairs since both levels have a full length veranda, with sitting and dining areas.
    The master bedroom is very spacious, and double doors open onto the veranda, so there's a view of the sea from the king-size bed ! It has an ensuite bathroom, and walk-in closet.
    Bedroom 2 also has double doors to the garden, a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom as well as plenty of closets.
    Bedroom 3 has trundle style twin beds which can be pushed together for a king-size or separated and the trundles pulled out to give four single beds, great for slumber parties. Next to it is the primary family bathroom with a walk-in shower and plenty of storage.
    All the bedrooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fans.
    The living room has a smart TV and comfortable seating and opens completely onto the veranda. It is open plan with the well appointed kitchen and long freestanding breakfast bar. The kitchen is very well equipped.
    There is a washing machine and gas dryer in a laundry cupboard, which is in this open plan area.

The unit was comfortable and spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. Sean, who assisted with our luggage transport was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable about Barbados and provided lots of ideas of where to go and what to do while we were there. Our host was very responses to any questions we had. Turtlebeach is a gem!

Just back from a weeks stay in Turtle Bottom. We cannot say enough great things this property has to offer. The villa is spacious, clean and very well equipped. We had small children with us so getting out to restaurants was not easy. We hired a chef to come in a few nights and he loved the fully equipped kitchen.Having the beach at your doorstep was so convenient. While the little one’s napped my hubby and I took turns swimming in the ocean.The villa is very close to Oistins and a short cab ride to the Gap. If you like to be away from crowds and have all most your own private beach then this is the perfect place.David is a pleasure to work with and very accommodating when travel plans get messed up. We will definitely be returning.

Location is awesome! Property is great right on the beach. Great experience! I had cleaning lady two days a week Michelle did great job. Had a few issues but landlord worked to get taken care of. I will come back

TURTLEbottom villa has amazing and breathtaking views and easy access to ocean and many near by restaurants.The Villa is beautifully kept and decorated with beach like items and with many amenities.David has been very accommodating and accessible throughout our stay,Driver Sean has been very helpful with airport transfer and willing to ride us to local supermarket.Highly recommend vacation spot and definitely will return,best vacation ever!!!

Idyllic beachfront property

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed this property. It is literally right on a beautiful beach that is not overly busy. Gorgeous sand & turquoise ocean. We spent many hours between the water and the spacious shaded deck. We had everything we needed. David was gracious in providing us airport transfers as well as some groceries to get us started which we greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend !

A little piece of paradise

My friends and I all agree, if we could be back at Turtle Bottom right now, we would be. We all miss morning coffee looking at an incredible view & being just steps away from walking in to the water. It felt like our own private paradise & paradise it was. We could not get enough of the view. It was breath-taking. It's close to Oistins, the grocery store & the house had all we needed, road noise was a non issue, outside area and beach were exceptional.You will not regret staying at Turtle Bottom.

Simply perfect

At first I was litte bit worried about the position next to the road, but after arrival you realise you live on the other side of the house, where you can hear only the waves. It is little paradise, where you forget about everything and enjoy only your holiday. Bus stop next to the house, shopping close by, perfect comunication with David. We will be back for sure👍

Turtle bottom is indeed a great property although two of the bathrooms could do with the showers attending to, we all shared use of the master shower!! However I now struggle to leave positive feedback due to the offhand attitude of the owner!

Fantastic Stay for our Big Family (6 kiddos)

Our stay at Turtlebottom on Maxwell in Barbados was a fantastic experience for our family of eight. The beachfront location was absolutely stunning, with gorgeous sunset views and a serene atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. Being able to step right onto the sand was a highlight for everyone, and the quiet beach provided the perfect backdrop for our vacation.The house itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, comfortably accommodating our large group. While the backside of the property is near a busy street, it wasn’t much of a bother and didn’t take away from the overall tranquility we enjoyed.Turtlebottom offered a great balance of beauty, comfort, and convenience, making it an excellent choice for families or groups looking for a beachfront getaway. We would definitely return!

Barbados Paradise

We throughly enjoyed our week in Turtle Bottom! The bedrooms were beautiful, each had doors with access to the patio and the beach, the beds were very comfortable. Each had its own separate bathroom and the showers were wonderful. the kitchen was modern and well stocked with pan, pots, plates utensils and everything needed for cookling and baking. The living room was comfortable, well decorated and the a/c and fans worked great in all the locations. The perfect white sand beach was right outside the door. We could walk easily to the supermarket and restaurants in Oistins. Access to other beaches, restaurants and shopping was easily accessible by hopping a public bus, taxi or one of the fun jitneys. Cant wait to go back!

Great location, great property

Great property right on the beach and there was a day a few turtles swam up next to us while playing in the water! Very cool. We ate out most every night on the patio just listening to the surf. It was wonderful!We enjoyed our stay and can not recommend enough. Easy walk to Massey, surfers cafe and Oistins fish market.We rented a car so did not use the bus…but bus stop is literally at the corner of the car park for house.If you are used to using washcloths I would recommend bringing with you., the house has none. Plenty of towels though! Washer and dryer was extremely nice to have and there was laundry detergent available.Great property, you can’t go wrong with renting Turtle Bottom.

Turtle Bottom

We came in late thanks to American Airlines. We were all tired and hungry after 24 hours of travel, and Sean was very accommodating (Sean works with David as a driver). The property was right by the bus stop and being across the street from the Golden Sands meant getting a taxi was easy! You could get food to go from the Golden Sands and they have a great karaoke night (Kids welcome). Turtle Bottom was not only close to many things it was easy to get in and out of, and the store is a 10-minute walk up the street. We will be back in Barbados next year and with the fun we had we will look to stay here again! Cheers!

David nas je lepo sprejel in nam posredoval vse informacije o otoku, restavracijah,...Uzivali smo v cudoviti villi ob morju, ki nudi popolno udobje. Veliki odprti prostori s pogledom na morje so dodana vrednost. Na koncu pa še terasa z žarom in veliko zunanjo mizo, ki je idealna za druženje in vecerno posedanje ob sončnem zahodu.Imeli smo se čudovito.

Paradise! Our family stay at Turtlebottom was perfect. Well-stocked home, relaxing porch and courtyard, outdoor shower, and directly on a beautiful beach. Cafes, coffee shop, happy hour, and the fish market were all an easy walk. David was very responsive and helpful with suggestions. We will cherish our memories of this special place.

The location of this property is PERFECT! It is right on the beach, with a large, beautiful covered porch and a brick terrace. It is near many great restaurants and tourist destinations. David was a great host, and his assistant actually met us at the restaurant where we were dining to hand over the keys.IT has everything you need!!!!

Lovely beachfront property with beautiful view!

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay at Turtle Bottom. This is a well kept property that is fully stocked with everything that you could possibly need. David was very quick to respond to any questions we had and Sean our driver was a wealth of information. I cannot say enough about the location of this villa....it was perfect. A few minute walk to Oistins, bus stop right our front of the house for a 5 min bus ride to Saint Lawrence Gap for a plethora of restaurants/bars, and the view, oh my that view! Spent much of our time sitting on the outdoor patio eating. chatting, reading, watching for turtles and listening to the waves. Spectacular vacation. We would love to come back. Thank you!

This is the best property in the oistins area!

Exactly as shown and the perfect vacation rental for a family or small group. Beautiful and modern, this well decorated home is literally a walk through the garden to get to the beach. The bus stop at the front door is amazing! For $1USD you can go almost anywhere on the island. Convenient to get to the Oistins fish fry or for groceries, to the Gap, Bridgetown, west coast beaches.. Easy to walk to Oistins as well, for groceries or to go the surfers cafe for lunch. Can’t say enough about how awesome this rental was!!

Perfect Home for our family!

We spent 10 days in Barbados and loved Turtlebottom! The house is beautifully furnished, clean, and appointed with everything you need for a great vacation. The beach is right there and is nearly private! The owners, the David and Sam, go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time ever. Pay attention to their recommendations...they know the island so well. Champers and The Tides were our favorite restaurants but there were so many places that were great! We rented a car and saw most of the island. We visited friends in other rental homes and saw nothing near as nice as Turtlebottom. Looking forward to coming back someday!

Stunning place to stay right on the beach and a wonderful location!

Turtlebottom is absolutely gorgeous!!! It had everything we needed. The three bathrooms and three bedrooms provided plenty of room for our family of five. The kitchen was well equipped and with it being within walking distance to the Oistins fish market, it was wonderful to be able to buy fresh fish and grill it ourselves. The location is an easy walk to a grocery store and the bus stop is right out front! The beach is just a couple of steps away and is simply beautiful! It was so calming to listen to the waves as we fell asleep at night. We’ll be back for sure!!!

Perfect

We travelled with a group of friends, 3 couples and so pleased with this beautiful villa. Each morning greeted by the beautiful ocean and beach. along with a beautiful covered deck with dining table. We spent most of our days and evenings on the covered deck, having our meals, listening to music and conversation. The sound of the ocean putting us to sleep. THe villa has all the amenities for cooking and a short walk to the local grocery stores for anything you need. We were three adults and the place was so comfortable yet large enough to find quiet time on your own to read and or take a nap. Went to Oistins Friday night for Fish Fry which is a short bus ride away. So many great places to eat. Also recommend taking a day to tour around the island to change it up. This was our third time in Barbados as a group of couples and it just keeps getting better! Thank you David for your beautiful place to make it Perfect!
