"Matinicus is a lovely place to explore and enjoy and Isle Be Back was just perfect to stay at! The accommodations were great for our group - nice big kitchen to work in, plenty of space to hang out in, big back deck for dinners, and bedrooms simple but lovely. It's a great location in the center of the island to walk to the beaches, trails and around the island. Communication with host was super- quick responses and thoughtful."

"This rental was clean and the perfect size. The view out back is breathtaking. This rental showcases all of the natural beauty that Maine is famous for. The air conditioning was cold and the water in the shower was hot. All linens were crisp and white. The driveway was a challenge to navigate, however it is manageable. We hope to stay here again."

"The photos don't even begin to do justice to this house! Everything about our stay was excellent! Great location, great vibe, great stay! We even used the kayaks and grill, both of which were in perfect working order......a real rarity at a rental property. I can't speak to the quality of the TV because we never even turned it on in the 5 days that we were in Owls Head. I have already started recommending this place to everyone who will listen to me!"

"We had a 16-month-old and his 73-year-old grandfather and everyone in between, and they all love this wonderful property. It’s as beautiful as the listing describes and it’s so well equipped and comfortable, it’s the perfect home base for exploring Maine. We love the chef’s kitchen. The principal suite has windows all around to frame the magnificent views of the water. Each bedroom has closet and dresser space, and its own bathroom. "This was my 3rd or 4th stay here, and my favorite spot in all of Maine. Even on a rainy or snowy day, it’s gorgeous. This is an older home with lots of charm, the most breathtaking views of the harbor, and everything you could need to enjoy time here indoors or out. I almost hate to add photos, as it will drive demand for this spot even higher. It’s just a stunningly beautiful space and it’s very hard to leave!"

"Our family had an excellent stay in this home and it was a wonderful value. We lucked out with warmer weather than we expected for early May and enjoyed having this house as our home base as we explored Camden, Rockport/Rockland, Freeport, Damariscotta, The Botanic Garden in Boothbay, and even Portland for a special occasion dinner. The home was centrally located and was serene and peaceful; it exceeded our expectations. "
