" Nothing fancy, but it did the job. There were a few bugs (nothing crazy) and the walls were very thin, but the room was basically clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and I got to check in early at no extra charge. The price is great though: would recommend for the mid-picky traveler who wants to avoid the SF hostels. "

"The walls were paper thin, I could hear people speaking in the next room. Very noisy. No TV service on regular channels - you had to have had a streaming service account. At check out, you had to take your own garbage/ recycling outside to the bins in the backyard."

"We enjoyed our one night stay here at the Marina Motel. Our exact room was right on Lombard St. which is HWY 101 so expect a lot of noise. Even though there were lots of noise, we enjoyed the stay. The room is very small so I would caution staying anymore than a couple nights, especially if you have older kids or more than 2 adults. I'd advise this room to anyone that will not plan on being indoors. The location is great however. It's a short walking distance to The Palace of Fine Arts and many...

"Cool & quirky place the size of a warehouse! Tons of baseball memorabilia and history. Dave’s a really cool dude! Highly recommend staying and something that’s completely different for a change."

"Hosts werw incredible and you are right in the middle of a perfect neighborhood."

"We loved our stay in Howard’s apartment. The neighborhood is perfect for exploring in all directions—Richmond with all its great restaurants, Golden Gate Park and the de Young museum, the Presidio etc. Nearby Geary street gives you a. Straight shot downtown on the bus. Howard was very helpful and communicative and we particularly appreciated his letting us leave our luggage for a late pick up on our last day. It was a delightful stay. "

"I stayed here for a week to visit my brother. It was perfect walking distance and i did a lot more walking in San Francisco than i do at home! I wasn't at the hotel much during the day but it was quiet at night and i slept good! I had a small fan because I'm hot natured and that helped. The people at the desk were very nice and helpful. I would stay here again. Thank you!"

"So charming! The studio bed was very comofrtable and the cabin part was soooo cozy. The garden is beautiful and the view of the city at night was breathtaking. Would absolutely stay here again. "

"I enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable. Shower was hot with good water pressure. I felt safe. It was loud but not unbearable. A car horn and siren woke me up. The windows are right by the street. No real complaints. The stairs kinda shocked us. To afraid to ride the old school elevator. Would stay again my husband wouldn’t. "

"This was a great stay over all. Great communication and very fast response. Place was exactly how the online photos looked. Only minor thing was the couch had miscellaneous food and trash debris in the cracks. Will definitely recommend."

"Three women of a certain age who have been friends for over 30 years loved the location, comfort of both indoor and outdoor facilities, and the old world “homey-ness” of De-Mar House. Walking distance to great restaurants downtown Napa was nice too."
