"it was incredibly clean, it was exactly what i wanted. i needed somewhere with a large fridge and a microwave to heat up food and store all the drinks needed for this kind of weather. the only downside for me personally was the tv didn't have all of the popular streaming apps on the interface and the chromecast feature was a bit glitchy."

"Spent a Saturday night at the AC Marriott Birmingham with my partner and came away with mixed feelings. The hotel has a lot going for it on paper - a great location, a genuinely comfortable bed, and a clean, contemporary feel throughout. The air conditioning was a godsend given the current heatwave, and the rooms look sharp with their modern aesthetic. "This is a Ok hotel. Not unique."

"Treated myself to a night here and given the price point expected a lot and was sadly disappointed. Upon reaching reception I found a queue to check in. There were three staff members behind reception but only one was dealing with guests. This was frustrating. Finally checked in, room was a nice size, the air conditioning was a god send in the heat and the bed and bedding was very comfy. The bathroom was large and pleasant, but showing its age. "I really like this place. THe only negative was that there is no USB port in the room, or anywhere in the carpark to charge an electric vehicle. Parking is easy and plentiful. Breakfast is great. Din't actually meet a single member of staff except in the pub (where they were very pleasant) - so i cannot really comment on the staff. "The air con had broken in the hotel during the June 2026 heatwave. We were lied to, told we could move rooms to a working one and weren’t told it had broken everywhere until 11.30pm when returning from a concert. We asked if we could get a refund and were told we could, so at midnight we left and went to find somewhere else. 2 weeks on and I have had no apology, no refund and no acknowledgement of this being dealt with. I’m £244 out of pocket as I had to pay for another hotel. Avoid."

"Great location, easy parking reasonably priced, rooms were cosy, beds comfortable, breakfast was great& good selection only flaw is there was no where to put your plate when trying to serve breakfast as the lids do not stay up so you need 3 hands but overall lovely hotel& would stay again"
