"A beautiful, elegant country estate with a wonderful breakfast. Our room had a lovely view of the river. Waiters in the dining room were overly busy at dinner and appeared quite irritable and stressed."

"This hotel had the feel of an old 1980s hotel that had been poorly maintained over the years by the owners. The room was clean but on our second morning we weren't able to have a shower because the shower didn't work. The tap water was also like an oven while the beds were like rocks. Despite promising wi-fi this too was non-existent. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok but during our stay there was always a feeling of what was going to go wrong next."

"There was no signage for the car park as it was through a narrow gap behind the hotel. I was given the key to the room, which I was told was through a door to the right of reception. On going through the door I found I was outside in the poring rain with again no signage. I went back into the hotel and found a lovely lady who was cleaning, who I asked where room 225 was. Our room had been fully renovated and was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The bar area has been completely updated and has a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. "The hotel is in a beautiful setting with great views over the surrounding countryside and a well maintained golf course. Our room was fairly basic and a little shabby which we expected to be more polished for the price paid. The restaurants were good, particularly the breakfast, included in our rate, which had a good selection and was great value for money. "Staff were all so helpful and nice. Nothing was too much. The WiFi was not great the first night but has improved since. Food was good though perhaps needs to expand the menu a bit. "The hotel is located outside of Perth centre, in a quiet area and close to the Almond river. There is a lovely riverside walk within half a mile of the hotel. There are no busy roads close by, so the hotel and grounds are quiet, which we appreciated. The reception and restaurant employees were helpful and polite.
