This spacious mountain view property has 3 bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms and enough sleeping arrangements for up to 8 guests to spread out comfortably throughout an impressive 2,214 square feet of living space, making it an ideal accommodation choice for a family or group of close friends looking for the ultimate mountain experience. The cabin is just 5 minutes from downtown.
You will feel true mountain living the moment you step inside the cabin's beautiful interior, boasting rustic and leather furnishings, cozy wood touches and a large stone wood burning fireplace. Massive wall of windows displaying expansive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a long range view of Mount Mitchell creating a dazzling backdrop for your trip.
This mountain ridge top cabin has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay, including wireless internet access, central heating and cooling, 2 flat screen TVs with satellite programming sure to please all your entertainment needs during your vacation. Spend a romantic evening cozying up to the fireplace or wake up to the spectacular sight of the Blue Ridge Mountains long range view right from the cabin windows.
This cabin is located only 6 miles from downtown Marion, NC and just 2 miles to I-40. Lake James Beach and Marina (rent kayaks, canoes, paddleboards; swimming), wineries, NC's only caverns, Blue Ridge Parkway, Mount Mitchell (highest peak in eastern U.S.) Asheville, Biltmore Estate, snow tubing resorts are all just a short drive away.

This 3 level log cabin is a beautifully appointed, nestled on a mountain ridge top and surrounded by lush and peaceful forest, making it perfect for relaxation, spending quality time with your loved ones, and enjoying nature. Every room in this cabin gives you a spectacular view of the mountains or the forest. We have a fire pit to enjoy with front row seats to a fantastic mountain view. A charcoal grill and plenty of outdoor furniture is available. WIFI is throughout the entire cabin. Satellite programming is also provided.

The cabin features three floors. There is one bedroom on each floor for maximum privacy. The main level includes a small covered porch and an open deck, great room with cathedral ceiling, wood burning fireplace, 32 inch LED HDTV, fully-equipped kitchen, half bathroom, master bedroom with king-sized bed and sitting area, master bathroom with shower and step-in jetted tub.

The loft features a second master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and private bathroom. The lower level includes a third bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, full bathroom, washer/dryer (high-efficiency), family room with a 55 inch LED HDTV and PS3, mud room, game room with 6 foot air hockey table.

There is always something to do or discover when you stay at Appalachian Dream Cabin. In Winter, you can unwind in front of the wood burning fire place with a glass of wine and a good book, take long walks in the woods, or visit the many attractions of our area. Spring displays an incredible variety of flowers and shades of green. The weather is perfect for sitting on the deck and watching how the mountain range changes color as the day progresses. This is also a great time to enjoy the beauty of the nearby parks and the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you like zip lining, water sports, hiking, and other warm weather fun, Summer is ideal for all these activities. You can also simply lounge in one of the log chairs and witness some of the most spectacular sunsets you'll ever see. The fall is when Mother Nature displays her most amazing display of colors. The crisp mountain air and clear blue skies complement the beauty of this season. Come and discover for yourself what a wonderful experience this is. Your only regret will be having to leave.

Amazing home!

We had an awesome time at this house and the host was fantastic. The view is amazing and the home has everything you might need (even smores ingredients!). The outdoor area is great for relaxing and there is plenty of comfortable seating on the inside as well. My friends and I are already discussing having a longer trip to the area so we can stay in this house again! (I will mention that the driveway is so steep it feels like you are going up the hill on a roller coaster, but that only adds to the feeling of being secluded!)

Great cabin all around

We found the cabin clean with ample and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked. The setting and views are very nice. Great sunsets. A great place to rest and relax for a team of six men doing Hurricane Helene recovery volunteer work.

Amazing time!

This cabin was absolutely breathtaking, and the views were even more breathtaking. The cabin was so clean, and had all the necessities in the kitchen and even for the wonderful grill outside. There was plenty of firewood available for the beautiful firepit outside. Any questions were very quickly answered by the owner. My family and I had the best time staying in this cabin. We will definitely be back!

Awesome Spring Break!

We had a wonderful visit in in Marion and surrounding towns for a spring break stay. Michael gave us tips on local playgrounds and fun things for our kids to see. The cabin was awesome and perfect for our stay - we are already looking at dates so we can return!

The stay was absolutely perfect. We had stayed here for a weekend fire school in McDowell County. This property was great for all members to come back, relax, enjoy the views and reflect on the day members had at class. Would HIGHLY recommend for anyone. We stayed on a business trip I guess you could say, If your staying for leisure then this is the spot! We hope to be back in the future.

Amazing Cabin! 10/10 recommend.

Lovely place. Well maintained and clean. Breathtaking mountain views. The outdoor seating areas are perfectly situated so that you can take in the scenery. It's also close to town. Michael was wonderful, quick to respond, and had everything laid out perfectly. Our group had a great time celebrating the New Year at this lovely cabin.

Magic Cabin

This is the most beautiful Cabin we have stayed. Espectacular views of the Appalachian mountains. Seclude, clean, cozy, full equipped kitchen. Host Michael was very attentive. We will definitely recommend Dream Cabin to everyone. We had a blast and we will comeback.

Relaxing Cabin

This cabin has all you want if you want a relaxing weekend. Fantastic outdoor firepit with amazing views, quiet scenery, secluded and very nice vibes inside with the indoor fireplace as well. Highly recommend for those wanting to take a breather!

Good view

This property has a nice view of Mt Mitchell. It's spacious enough for a family of 7. We had 4. Pros: The view, stocked up kitchen with cooking essentials, plenty of firewood to use, nice TV/game room although the air hockey table is falling apart. Cons: Not for older people or anyone who have a hard time getting up and down the stairs. Had a water leak/drips from the shower from the top floor. This appears to be a known issues based on the stains. I reported it to the owner. No hot tub (even the amenity sections indicated there was one)

2024 Girls Trip

The cabin was gorgeous and very clean. The property was perfect. The driveway was vary steep but even in our Mustangs we were able to get up to the top. The property owner was very nice and helpful with any questions. We plan on coming back soon!

Exceptional Cabin & Host

We recently stayed at this amazing cabin and had an incredible experience! The location is fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions while still feeling secluded and peaceful. The cabin itself is beautiful and very well-maintained, clearly showing that the host takes great care to ensure everything is top-notch. One thing we've noticed right away is how clean this place is. We stayed in several cabins and this one was the cleanest. The host (Michael) was exceptionally attentive and communicative throughout our stay, always ready to help with any questions or needs we had. This level of service made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful cabin the next time we’re in the area.
