Welcome to the Hillside Hideaway in historic Marietta, OH. This A-frame cabin style home features 3 levels with a stunning view overlooking Marietta and The Ohio River. The outdoor space is top notch! Features include a deck that encompasses the entire front of the home, private balcony off the loft, and another deck nestled under the trees in the rear of the home. Hillside Hideaway offers 3 floors of living space. Ground level features a family room with a sofa, side chair with ottoman, 50” Roku TV, and a queen size bed is set up in one portion of the space for sleeping quarters. A full bathroom is on this level. One half of this level features a 1 car attached garage with the laundry in the garage. The second level is a showstopper with the exposed wood beams, floor to ceiling stone fireplace and spiral staircase leading to the loft. A galley style kitchen with bar seating for 4 and a dining table for 4 is on this level. The cozy living room features a 50” Roku TV, sofa and leather recliner. A desk and desk chair are located near the kitchen for any work/school needs. A queen bedroom with a Roku TV and a newly renovated full bathroom with tub/shower combo complete the second level. There are 3 sets of French doors leading to the front and back decks on this level, one from the living room, one in the kitchen and one from the bedroom. The third level is the loft. This level is accessed by the spiral staircase only and it is open to the second level. The loft is very spacious with a King bed and a Queen bed. There is a walk-in closet that runs the length of the loft and a Roku TV. A cozy sitting area with a leather oversized chair overlooks the sliding door that leads to a private balcony with stunning treetop views. There are multiple sets of patio furniture on the decks. Keep in mind in order to get these views, we are perched on a hilltop. While our portion of the driveway is paved, it is steep. The city streets leading to the property are also steep and narrow, but the view is stunning once you get to the top! Located within walking distance to Marietta College campus and sports fields. Just a few minutes to all downtown Marietta amenities, Peoples Bank Theatre, The Adelphia, Washington State Community College, Marietta aquatic center, Shrine event building, Broughton event complex, several outstanding restaurants, boutique shopping, antique shopping, Museums, historical landmarks, and not one but 2 rivers: The Ohio and Muskingum.
