Cottage 100 Yards from Water

  • Aquí en Rock Harbor Cottages tenemos solo 4 cabañas repartidas en casi 3 acres de árboles maduros. Acceso a la costa en la propiedad con un patio de grava, mesa de limpieza de peces y un muelle de 110 pies con 4 muelles de 20 pies.

    Totalmente amueblado. Capacidad para 5 a 7 personas, 2 dormitorios 1 baño. 1 cama Queen, 1 juego de camas individuales sobre literas completas y un sofá cama Queen. Aire acondicionado, calefacción, televisión de pantalla plana por cable y Wifi.Incluye una cocina totalmente equipada (nevera grande, horno y estufa, cafetera, tostadora, microondas, todos los utensilios necesarios, platos, ollas y sartenes, etc.). En el exterior hay una parrilla de gas, una fogata, una terraza de madera con una gran mesa y sillas, con mucho espacio al aire libre para disfrutar. La cabaña se encuentra a aproximadamente 100 yardas del muelle, donde se puede pescar lubina, agallas azules, bagre, perca y tipo de pez o simplemente sentarse y ver el día flotando y contemplar hermosas puestas de sol en la noche. El alquiler incluye un espacio de muelle gratuito que puede acomodar hasta un barco de 25 pies.

    Para mantener nuestros precios bajos, no ofrecemos ropa de cama (sábanas, fundas de almohadas y toallas). Proporcionamos edredones y almohadas. Si esto es un problema, contácteme y podemos satisfacer sus necesidades.

    También desde la propiedad operamos Reef Bobber Charters. Pesque en el oeste del lago Erie para buscar leucomas, lubinas y percas a bordo del arrecife Bobber IV. El Reef Bobber IV es un Marinette Sport Fishermen de 28 pies con una viga de 11 pies. La plataforma de pesca es lo suficientemente grande como para acomodar hasta 6 pescadores y tripulantes con grandes refrigeradores para sentarse. Debajo de la capota blanda convertible hay asientos para 9 para salir del sol y el clima. Debajo de la proa hay mucho espacio para guardar su equipo y un inodoro para cuando la naturaleza lo llame. El barco está totalmente equipado, asegurado y la Guardia Costera inspeccionada y aprobada. Great place to stay. Would recommend. We were fishing nice cleaning station. Was able to tie boat to dock. So no pulling boat in and out. Owner is very nice and quick to respond with questions. I’ll be back.

Great weekend getaway

My husband and I had a great weekend away here! The location is great— very close to Lakeside, Marblehead and Catawba Island were easy drives. A word of advice, if you’re visiting in the fall, be sure to pack appropriately, there is not central heating and cozy pjs and sweaters were a must!

This three day vacation was meant to be spent close to the rented property with our two elderly dogs. Included in the list of photos was a shot of a private beach. This is where I envisioned our time spent 100 yards from the beach. We brought a sunscreen canopy and some chairs. When we arrived and took the dogs for a walk around the property, there was no beach. There was no beach access and no place to sit and enjoy the water except to stand on the dock. I have to say this was an extreme disappointment. And to make things even worse, the next day, the Canadian wildfire smoke descended upon us and the whole next day we never left the rental. This was supposed to be a 72 hour stay and we left after 43 hours.

Rock Harbor Cottage

The bottom bunk bed was not comfortable and the bed frame made noise with every movement. Close to great restaurants, bait shops, attractions and parks. Overall, the cottage was great. We will return.

Cute and Quiet

Property was exactly as advertised. Our stay with our 2 small dogs was ideal. We were there for an annual event hosted by a friend on Johnson Island. We had previously stayed in the dog friendly BW and that was awful. This cute little cottage with ample outdoor space was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful, would definitely do it again!

Quaint little cottage

The cottage is very simple, which is accurately described in the listing. It is close to the water however you can’t see the water from the cottage and the only access to the water is on a very dated little pier. If you don’t mind not seeing the water from your cottage, this is no issue at all. Within driving distance (10-15 minutes) from most everything, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Hosts are very friendly and helpful with excellent communication!

smaller than expected

The 2nd bedroom with the bunk bed was very small, there was no window AC for that room, just a box fan. Window AC in the main room and the other bedroom. Very small bath. The bunk bed was so tight in the 2nd bedroom that it could not be moved out to access both sides of the bed, so my husband had to climb up and down from the top single bunk all week. The house is fine for 3 people or maybe a couple and some kids, but not for 2 couples. My only direct communication with Brad, was the day we checked in, after that I could only get a response through a text, or several texts, or through the other longtime renters that were there, that would relay his messages. All in all, I was a bit disappointed in the stay.

Cozy and Clean

It was very clean and very comfortable. A nice getaway for the two of us, though the kids bedroom would've been perfect if we brought the little ones.
